One Hit Wonders.

Fun fact: I went to high school with him. (He once told me that I was his hero.)

Debatable, but only if you're a hard core blues nerd. Who can tell me who the singer went on to front?
Mountain.

Started out with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah was an American rock group from the 1970s.

The preceding incarnation was named Aliotta Haynes, a trio composed of bassist Mitch Aliotta, drummer Ted Aliotta, and guitarist Skip Haynes. Ted departed after their debut album, Aliotta Haynes Music (1970), and was replaced by John Jeremiah. As Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah, their 1971 eponymous album was their last for the Ampex label.

The band scored a popular regional hit in the Chicago, Illinois area in 1972 with the title track of their follow-up 1973 album, Lake Shore Drive, a tribute to the lakefront highway in Chicago.

The initials "LSD" are occasionally used in Chicago vernacular to refer to the highway (although it is sometimes referred to as the Outer Drive to distinguish it from Inner Lake Shore Drive, which extends from Ohio St. to Hollywood Ave.).[citation needed] Elsewhere, LSD is better known as the initials of the name of a hallucinogenic drug.

Jenny says this was their only hit.

Wiki said they had a couple other songs that charted, but I only remember this one so I'm posting it. Of course the band members might have had some hits in a couple of other bands like The Babys and Journey.

Y’all remember this fella before his acting career?!

They have other songs, but no real hits

Another band that had more than one hit. But, of them all, I prefer this…

Forgot to mention earlier, I saw DP with Judas Priest in Charlotte in '19. At 72 y/o, Ian Gillan's still got it. Very impressive.

Eddie and the Cruisers.

Not only a OHW but a fake movie band to boot.

I've owned that soundtrack on at least 3 different media. Great album.

It just depends on how broadly you define "hit". They had a few singles that got decent airplay, but Sister Christian was the only one to crack the top 5. They apparently had another song that hit #8 a few years later, but I didn't/don't remember it. Technically they are not a 1 hit wonder if they had 2 make the top 10. But I still think they are mainly defined by, and remembered for, this 1 song.

True. They were frustrated at being forced into doing ballads after Sister Christian blew up. I guess "non-fans" never realized how hard they rocked. In fact, Night Ranger took a break while Brad Gillis played on Ozzy's Speak of the Devil tour & album & is some ripping, heavy playing.

These guys did pretty well outside the US but I think this is all that really charted here at home.

This got a ton of air play around Fayetteville when they broke-

Seen them play that live. On the same bill with Iron Butterfly, Mountain & a band called Shooting Star at the "Winter Metal Jam" in '84 or '85.

Mountain.

You thinkin' of Felix Papallardi? The Mickey Thomas went on to this-

Personally, I don't think of Concrete Blonde as "one hit wonders," but some due diligence seems to suggest that they fit the category by most objective measures with their only "hit" in broad exposure "Joey."

Can’t exactly call these guys one hit wonders as it was an all-star band, but they only released one album together. Two of my fav’s from it.
