Oops.... (Gruesome pics inside)

Ouch.......... Thanks for the reminder to pay attention and be careful. We are all human sometimes!!!

Ow.

Glad you missed the kinetic cables! Heal well & quickly.

First time i hit the thread it didnā€™t load. Second time was only gauze. Guess itā€™s my lucky day.

Scroll down mid way on page 1. Gruesome pics came after the OP

Glad it wasnā€™t any worse and nothing other than flesh was cut.

Hopefully you can heal quickly.

Let me introduce you to my friends. These things have saved me more than a few Dr visits. A local member gave them to but itā€™s been so long I canā€™t remember who. Need to get another pair. These are over 5 years old at least

I'd been planning to buy a set of those...

March of 19 one early Sunday morning.

Nicked two arteries and cut into the muscle. Thumb still doesn't have the dexterity it should. Halfway to being a chimp.

How do you like the handle on that knife? I saw one a guy made from a circle saw blade and it had a handle 90% to this one. Thought I might try to make one sometime and wondered what you thought of yours.

I use mine every time I cut leather. Got enough dexterity that they don't bother me. When I'm cutting out shapes I can't always keep my hands out from in front of the blade. And that knife is sharp. So the gloves have saved me a lot of down time from nasty cuts. Go ahead and get a pair or two. On a couple occasions I have connected hard enough I just new I cut myself through them, and never once actually cut myself.

That one is nice but the one I saw had a handle like @chiefjason but bent 90%.

That handle is pretty standard. I would love to try one of the angled handles though. I found one a while back and then lost track of it. It had an angled grip with one side of the blade design for cutting off board, which I do a lot. Basically a much thinner blade that would make tighter turns than the one in the pic. I have another with an even wider blade that's good for outside edge cuts. The knife in the pic is my go to knife though.

Will you be out of commission long?

A week or two on actual forging. Can't squeeze tongs right now without tearing stitches.

I have a couple projects where the forging is finished that I can grind on though. I think lol.

Well don't be shy. Tell the rest of us where we can get some. You didn't think he was the only one who cuts himself didya????
I got em from my job I had at the time. I had about forty eleven pair under the backseat of the truck and doffed off a couple pair to Jason.
Im not at thst job anymore

I'm glad you've still got all your fingers. Heal up quick. I keep saying I'm going to come back to get you to make me another kydex holster or two. I just never have the time.
