Imma go with…you have no idea what you’re talking about. 😉I remember a quarrel of sorts in the main comments and a new guy didn’t like the reactions too his post I know I’m knew but ima a go with the flow guy so I did “haha” a few of his post but jeeezzz man lol
Probably. There’s nothing really off limits anymore. Are there really people out there that see an ad and think "Hot damn, I could really see myself enjoying that, but first let me scroll down to the reactions to see what the rest of this lot of malcontents thinks" ?
There’s nothing really off limits anymore.
That 😉 is what got him BigWaylon lol 😂… could be wrong but 🤷♂️Imma go with…you have no idea what you’re talking about. 😉
It’s just in the BSTs
I’m not even sure what your reply means. But if you want to keep looking for that one individual/reaction that triggered (pun intended) the change, go for it…knowing it’s a complete waste if your time. That 😉 is what got him BigWaylon lol 😂… could be wrong but 🤷♂️
Hahahahahha. Some of your best work.
That old banter was a comedic gold mine. Watching folks who can engage without crossing into flagrant bashing was a neat thing to see.We use to have an open discussion BST. The rules were simple and few. Don’t be an ass and don’t stomp other people’s ads.
Some people couldn’t handle that. They just had to be asses and stomp other people’s ads.
So our choice was ban a whole bunch of grown men who couldn’t act like grown men or remove comments.
Then these same infants decided instead they would “weaponize” emojis to bully BST ads they didn’t agree with for one reason or another.
So now that’s gone.
I mean grown men could just ignore BST ads they disagree with and grown men could ignore emojis posted on their ads.
But they can’t. They physically cannot. I’m not sure why…yet here we are.
I miss the banter in the BST when it wasn’t antagonizing but we can never go back I’m afraid.
Carolina Firearms Forum. Where common sense is an uncommon virtue.
Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, USN, 16 March 1945.…..probably.
👏 Call it ''Ode to the emoji''.I love this forum... It's my kinda place...
Just trolling around the Buy/Sells
Puts a big 🤣 on my face
I said I had a idea of who it was a pretty strong idea matter fact but like you said I could be wrong but it weird that when this discussion happened in the chat box some laughing/mad faces were exchanged and the very next moment the emoji buttons are gone could be just happen stance but highly possible 🤷♂️I’m not even sure what your reply means. But if you want to keep looking for that one individual/reaction that triggered (pun intended) the change, go for it…knowing it’s a complete waste if your time.
So, when you told me that you couldn’t possibly think any less of me than you already did, because I test drove a Subaru, I can ignore that? Right? 😀We all like to think our opinions count but they really don’t.
As Chad said…there was no current member/issue/report/etc that caused it.I said I had a idea of who it was a pretty strong idea matter fact but like you said I could be wrong but it weird that when this discussion happened in the chat box some laughing/mad faces were exchanged and the very next moment the emoji buttons are gone could be just happen stance but highly possible 🤷♂️
I do quite enjoy harrassing people at shows who ask absurd prices for things. I think most of us have encountered a "thousand dollar mosin" guy at least once. My favorite was an older gentleman who was asking $3500 for a sporterized springfield in a commercial synthetic stock that had been poorly tapped and fitted with an old Tasco TV scope. He said it was a "sniper rifle" as configured, and when I offered him fair market value for his absolutely ruined rifle he accused me of not knowing anything about guns, and then showed me a printed out screenshot of a James D Julia auction listing for an original M1903 USMC sniper rifle that went for around what he was asking several years prior. I laughed in his face and walked away, but as I was leaving he called me a "f*****g prick". For the remainder of the show I would sneak by and place water bottles on his table when he wasn't looking. I think by the end of the day I had snuck at least a dozen onto his table. I overheard him complaining to someone about it later on and was extremely amused. Never saw him at another show.Wonder if the same people would walk up to someone at a gun show, point and laugh and just walk away? Maybe we need to remember to behave on here like we would in person?
If you're selling Beanie Babies or endlessly zapping a Chinese stun gun? Absolutely.Wonder if the same people would walk up to someone at a gun show, point and laugh and just walk away? Maybe we need to remember to behave on here like we would in person?
I remember one of the sayings on the old forum. Something like : Talk to each other like you were both sitting across from each other at the table both heavily armed.Wonder if the same people would walk up to someone at a gun show, point and laugh and just walk away? Maybe we need to remember to behave on here like we would in person?
As Chad said…there was no current member/issue/report/etc that caused it.
Anything you see/saw is just coincidence.
Just pin it on me if you need a scapegoat. I can handle it. 😎It sounds like the title for "the reason we removed emojis in any post" is still up for grabs. We can't let it go to "no event in particular" again!
I have walked up to a vendor at a gun show and asked a price, responded "for real? good luck!" laughed and walked away.... so I don't think those sorts of codes of conduct work.Wonder if the same people would walk up to someone at a gun show, point and laugh and just walk away? Maybe we need to remember to behave on here like we would in person?
