Just filed my first Form 1 to make my 22 AR pistol into an SBR. My hyphenated name wasn't a massive issue this time except it won't take my digital fingerprint file and they had to print me the completed cards and accompanying form to mail in. Federal apps are jank.

I was going to shop for a suppressor but by the time we got done it was closing time. Not like I'll get it quick anyway lol

I guess I am officially buggered now, since I'm already debating doing my 9mm AR pistol next.....

Different caliber and/or length. Doesn’t matter at that point.

And before anybody tries to say it, there’s zero requirement to retain the original upper.

Well I love the original upper, so it isn't going anywhere but a 300BO shorty might be nice down the road.....

And as for the PSA stuff you linked, the next build will be even gaudier if Delta Team Tactical ever ship my lower!

I'm going to do something terrible and magnificent.

22lr side charge receiver I've never painted an AR before. Am I better off doing it before or after I put the thing together (upper and lower only, minus barrel, stock, handguard etc) ? And yes, I realise this will be an abomination in the eyes of God/JMB but I just can't stop myself.

And still waiting. I check eforms every few days in case the email got filtered by the Googles.

I got an Endomag to try with my 9mm FM pistol upper, along with the rest of the fixings (a foregrip to keep my fingers away from the muzzle end of my stubby little barrel etc), just waiting on the Fedbois. So I'll have 22lr and 9mm for my first range trip with it.

Despite how slow and annoying this bs is, I'm about to do another form 1 (300BO sbr). I must be some sort of idjit lol

The main reason I didn't grab an overpriced Sparrow when I did the form 1 at Atlantic was I can't see putting all that money down and seeing nothing for a year.

My first MG was sold to me by an NFA dealer in far western NC. About 5 months into the process, the ATF had a question about the form 4 he created and sent him an inquiry about it.

For whatever reason, he didn't see it, and after another month he got a letter indicating that due to his non-response, the Form 4 was cancelled.

That meant starting the whole process from scratch. It took well over a year to scratch the MG itch ........

I'm actually not that fussed about 300bo subs, I just wanted a compact platform that throws a proper size (7.62) rifle bullet without going 308.

For now I'm building it with the neutered buffer tube as a pistol, but when I can stop starting new builds for one whole second I'll throw more money in the Fed hole and wait sixteen squillion years for my stamp and throw that PDW stock on it.

I think in the thick of it I was waiting 13-15 months for approvals.

Best day to buy a suppressor was yesterday. Next best day to buy a suppressor is today.👍

I’m at 163 days on a can I bought in January….I’d be at 0 days had I not got it.

I blame Mrgadget …. Just got in my 36m then saw the bogo so now I got a 46m and the free omega 300… all of which made me now look for a 45acp smg/AR and a 450 bushmaster that I just picked up
