They say a man had barricaded himself inside a home for nearly seven hours before he finally surrendered.

Police say it started after 2 p.m. when they went to speak with a 28-year-old man about a domestic incident involving his wife earlier in the day. They say he then barricaded himself in the home.

We can't know the truth of no charges until Alex gets on his blocked services and tells us himself. They may be massaging the media to disperse the potentially troublesome protesters.

The “it ended peacefully around 9:30p” is textbook deception and fake news. It didn’t end until around 11p.

“No charges” now, but give them until the morning and they’ll be charging him with everything they can. I’m looking forward to hearing more details and will likely support his go fund me.

And cellphones aren't going to cut it because you have absolutely ZERO control over your cellphone. It's a computer controlled by a corporation that will gladly lick the hand of the government who controls their ability to do business.

The alternatives aren't as useful but at least you can control whether they work or not. They can jam you, but they're jamming themselves too. Guess it's time to get back to work on my HAM test.

The livestream is showing multiple reports that whiskeyandrebellion and other twitter accounts covering this may have been compromised and it's not actually over. Hard to tell whats going on.

I was concerned that whiskeyandrebellion May have been arrested and they posted that from his phone knowing that thousands were watching his account.
I haven’t seen anything to this effect though.

I'm hearing it in the livestream and seeing it on several sources on facebook, but like all this stuff there's no way to tell. Considering they were media congnizant so early on and jammed his neighbourhood I wouldn't be surprised if they were behind the twitter posts after arresting him.

YouTube accounts live streaming this are being shut down. ‘Sean Havok did a live stream letting people know what was going on. It got taken down within minutes. He blasted this guys address calling locals to go . He can not livestream.

over 150 people were arrested, some held for million dollar bonds... and then pretty much everybody wound up getting charges dropped.
boots on necks now, due process later. Police are going to pay lawsuits out of taxpayer funded accounts, then try to get a millage when they run low. or they just won't patrol and will leave you on your own...

Yes, but at the same time, it will run like wildfire through those of like mind. As evidenced by this thread. I would hazard a guess that this is being discussed in private group conversations all over the US as we speak. A precedent has been set. And things could go south very quickly.

PTSD is mentioned. A young man that I know was in the Army and spent some time in Afghanistan. He saw no combat action. A few years ago, another veteran asked him if he was getting anything for his PTSD. He told him that he didn't have PTSD. The other vet told him that it didn't matter, just tell them that you have it and you'll get a check for life. He did and is collecting a check every month but he is also branded as having mental issues. That monthly check can cause him some big problems later on in life. I hope the check is worth it.

During the Obama years, VA doctors were practically pushing it on people coming off deployment, according to several friends. Someone in the administration wanted as many vets with PTSD as possible.

I'd be wary of any "news" coming from 4chan. I've seen them provide reliable witness to various news stories over the years before the media did, but the sites tagline is also
"The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.".
Someone driving by the house early this morning live streaming showed the house dark and no crowd of LEO, patriots, or anyone else.
 
@charliesgrave i didn’t know which site that second one was from, didn’t recognize it, but knowing it’s 4chan and what I’ve heard about how they were deleting everything almost immediately, I’d agree.
Seems like IG, fb, Reddit, and Twitter had some decent info but as always you have to weed through it to find facts.

It happens a lot more often than you would think. The downside to the hero worship veterans of all stripes receive post-9/11 (this is identical criticism I provide for the same towards LEO) is it presumes anyone in uniform is virtuous and honorable, and that's simply not true. I knew and know many shitbags in uniform, worthless individuals that are the loudest to complain when they don't get their discount, or if there isn't a discount....the ones who hit up 5 or 6 places on Veterans Day for the free meals. And they never did anything of note, never left the safety of the States, etc.

But when I was getting out, lots of folks advocated getting some sort of disability. For nucs, it's mostly hearing loss since most of us didn't wear earplugs that often. I probably could have pursued that, but I didn't want to be "that guy" for exactly the sentiment you express. I hear just fine, just not as good as I did before submarine duty.

But it's encouraged. By lots of people.

This burn pit thing may be different; I have a hell of a chronic year round cough for someone who never smoked and headaches that I never had before Balad, Iraq in 2006. But that's something I would need to learn more about rather than just looking for that green.
