What color is your Rock? Wasn’t sure how many colors they offered, but mine says Sniper Green (black slide). That’s the color holster I was looking at.

subsonic 223 is dumb but not this dumb since it at least can be run in a bolt action. What autoloader would this subsonic 5.7 be able to cycle?

Lol. I was literally just looking at that ammo on PSA , over $1 a round. Thought it was interesting but definitely not enough to buy any. 5.7 is not s round I really care about to suppress. Out of a pistol anyway, carbine/rifle would be a different story.
 
Put another 100 rounds through it yesterday and still no issues. Interesting fact, I was shooting it back to back with my KelTec PMR30 and the .22mag is definitely louder and has more blast than the 5.7 surprisingly..

most annoying part was PSA’s handling of my inquiry. They claimed they cannot be responsible for suppressor effects on pistol. Ok then why is it sold with suppressor sights, threaded barrel, fails on 4+ types of commercial ammo and several different industry standard rimfire suppressors.

From this I’m done w PSA. I’m also unimpressed by the rock‘s lockup system. It appears to be a direct blowback. if I end up reloading the 5.7x28 the M&P rotating barrel lock system looks like a safer path.

Tried the Oculus in short config today results were about the same ss before. Very unreliable

If it's anything like the one I got with my Dagger it's really decent. Solid and modular.
 
If I have the same issues shooting suppressed tomorrow, and decide I’m just not gonna fool with it anymore…do you think I ought to ditch the tall sights and buy some normal ones? Mine are all black, and I’d like to at least paint the front one orange like I did to all my P80s. So I have all the stuff here. In my head, the taller sights mean more POA/POI shift at distances, but I’m not sure if it’s enough to matter?

I’m found the tall sight to be pretty accurate. Was making hits a beer cans at 50yds very easily before I put an optic on it.
 
Got the eight mags loaded up, plus two 50rd AR57/PS90 mags. Put a little oil on the gun, and after a frantic search found the silencer I wanted to try on it. I also have the micro comps from my P80s that has some issues at the range:

Those were Dagger RSAs, and at least one person left a review saying they had issues with comps as well…but I don’t know if it was the same issue. I swapped to Glock RSAs and will give it another shot tomorrow.

I know that holster said it worked with the tall sights. I assume it will also handle the threaded barrel even with the micro comp?

The bottom is open so yeah it works with the threaded barrel and I would assume as long as the comp doesn’t add and width it should work just fine

Had eight mags loaded with the Fiocchi. First shot at 50 yards with the suppressor sights just to see what it was like. Hole is ~10:45 on the second ring line. I’ll take it.

We emptied all eight mags. It was either two unsuppressed and six suppressed, or three and five. Zero malfunctions with the gun without without the silencer.

However, the very last round fired resulted in a catastrophic failure of the YHM Phantom 22. The larger section separated at the last thread and went downrange at least 45 yards, with the baffles scattered between 15 and 45 yards. Found every piece.

You were lucky your search party didn’t include the Feds who worked on the SCOTUS leak or White House cocainegate. 🤓
 
The good news is the serialized part appears to be undamaged. They could literally fix this in <60 seconds by sliding a new baffle stack into a new tube & end cap and screwing that onto the serialized part.

We’ll see. Already got the RMA approved and a prepaid shipping label, so it should be headed their way tomorrow.
 
Don’t know how long it’s been OOS, but it was a couple days ago…then I was able to order some PSA V-Max last night. I think that’s what I’m going to carry. $29.99/bx. Red tip instead of blue like the FN.
 
Oh yeah…forgot to ask this yesterday after the maiden voyage. Anybody else have a mag catch/release spring that seems excessively strong? No problem releasing a mag, but I insert one there’s a definite stopping point when the mag gets to the catch. Takes more pressure to push the mag past the catch than any other pistol or rifle I own.

That color would’ve been great with my black & green pistol, but I saved $10 and went carbon fiber black.

But speaking of fast shipping…

They offer a matching mag carrier, but I didn’t want Tek-Lok and didn’t want vertical.

I was very impressed with their shipping. They either have a ton of these pre made or are super quick about cranking them out and shipping.
