I still have 2 SBRs up in MI that I need to get permission to take across state lines.
I'm trying to decide the best way to do it.
How does taking a rolling rifle case on a commercial airline work? Is it oversized/odd sized/etc? Do they charge a lot more than they would for a normal suitcase?
I'm looking at this 54 in Wheeled Hard Long Gun Case from Academy Sports because it looks like it might be a solid pelican knockoff. Also, it's big and not terribly expensive. There's a coupon code, RMN0JLFGO , that knocks $26 off.
I'm thinking I could order online, have it shipped to MI, file my transport papers, then either bring it home on my next visit or maybe just have trustee stick my guns in it and ship them back to me down here (lawyer permitting).
Anybody have experience/advice doing this sort of thing?
