IMHO.... we need to determine WHAT is drawing thugs to this area and take preventive measures. Sounds to me as if it could be D&B and if that's the case their lease has to expire at some point, same with the movie theater. I realize that they may be the 2 largest tenants but if ownership doesn't do something the whole damned place will wind up like Eastland Mall, a giant vacant lot.
I had/have a commercial property in Ft. Laud with similar issues, cancelled a few leases and changed the complexion of the customers and it is currently flourishing and is on the market for sale. The value has increased and thug life moved about 2 miles down the road and is someone else's problem...
