Songs that give you goosebumps

Amazing Grace is great but just 24 notes gets me worse …

Worked at the Pentagon. Carpool pickup was across the highway from Arlington; I heard Taps and the volleys almost every afternoon. Damned good thing I was getting picked up and not trying to drive.

In a historic vein, check out the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate, Ypres Belgium. The ceremony has been conducted, with variations, since 1928 nearly -every -single -night. There were only interruptions during WW2 but the ceremony was still carried out in Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey, England. On Sept 6. 1944, the ceremony resumed at the Menin Gate even with heavy fighting still happening in other parts of the town. The general format is the Last Post by the buglers of the Last Post Association, followed by a reading of "They Shall Not Grow Old" and then a lone piper playing a lament, most often Flowers of the Forrest.

And during CoVID-

One of my favorite groups👍
I love them. I saw them live in Stecoah years back, gave the lead singer my number in case they wanted to party. When they got to the microtel in robbinsville and realized it was a dry county, he called asking if we had beer.

Went and drank Busch in their hotel out of a sink “cooler” filled with ice. Tammy didn’t join, as she was preggers at the time.
