The best advice I ever got was from my old man. I was about 7 or 8, tired and wanted to give up. Don’t even remember what we were doing.
He said “Son, all you have to do is keep putting one foot in front of the other one and you can get through anything.”
He went on to tell me that men under him died a lot of times because they gave up. That had they just kept going for one more step and then another they might still be alive.
When I was older and of teen suicide age and going through my first break up he reminded me. He said that sometimes the steps are mental.
That one line has stuck with me though my entire life. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and this too shall pass.
