The "Did you shoot your NFA items today?" thread...

Got to shoot the 300 BO SBR suppressed as well as the Ruger Charger pistol w/can and the .223 pistol at ENC today. Hot fun and my reloads worked fine.

I remember reading somewhere that without a photo, it did not happen.
There were no photos. And no witnesses that weren’t spouses. Unless somebody’s security cameras caught us. 🥸

Used my Gemtech 45 on a few pistols and my Roni SBR Glock 22 at Battery Oaks last weekend.

Yep…it was an 8-stamp day.

Took the refurbed Rossi RB22 out for the first time. Bought it a couple months ago for $109 shipped. No scope, no threaded barrel.

Rossi Gallery 22 with SiCo Spectre
Rossi Rio Bravo 22 with SiCo Spectre
Ruger American Rimfire with SiCo Sparrow
CZ 455 Tacticool with SiCo Warlock
S&W 15-22 SBR with F1 can
S&W 15-22 pistol with F1 can

Also pulled out the suppressed AR57 pistol to make sure it was GTG:

Finally got to verify my zero wasn’t affected by the addition of my Nomad30 can today. I was satisfied with a 10 round group and was going to put it up but my girls had other ideas. They blew through the remaining 110 rounds, giggling the whole time. That was an expensive bonding moment lol

I am hopefully minutes, hours or possibly days away from my first group of NFA purchases being approved. One of the cans is a Nomad30 I am looking forward to.

This was my first outing with it but I am very impressed with it on my 300BLK shooting subs. Hoping my Rugged Razor gets approved soon too so I can do a side by side comparison

Next outing will include a 14.5 AR15 to see how well it does with it (not expecting the same results though)

We need to compare the Nomad to my Chimera on my .300 AR (the one I've had built for 2 years and never shot)

Well yesterday, but yes. Took the STEN Mk II, M11A1, and Rugged Obsidian 9 out to the range. Burned about 500 9mm and 100 .380. My twin 11 year old boys got to have their first full-auto experience with the STEN. Lucky kids, I didn’t shoot my first full-auto until the late 1990s when I was in my mid 20s.

At Battery Oaks, fired one magazine in my Canik TP9SFT with the Gemtech GM-45.

Took my cans out for the first time. Shot my Resonator on my 6.5 Grendel and 11.5in 5.56, had a lot of gas to face on the Grendel but surprisingly my 5.56 had no gas blow back at all. Also ran a couple hundred through my Aero EPC suppressed. Had some feeding issued with federal Syntech 150gr ammo, but other than that it are everything else just fine.

Captain Lobotomy (me) took out the tungsten bolt M11 SMG with old school SWD can to burn some 9mm at the range only to realize that I didn't bring any ammunition for it.

S&W .22 with a TacSol can saved the NFA day.

I took my two 12 year olds and shot the zombie match in Oxford on Sunday. They shot Uzi PRO SBRs and I shot the STEN. A good time was had by all.

There was a surprise moment on the last stage. The selector on the STEN accidentally got bumped to “auto” before I shot and my first two “shots” were actually bursts. No one was more surprised than me.

Just got back from ENC. I dumped about 150 rounds of 9mm thru the slow bolt M11 and can without a hiccup. What a hoot that is to run, just a really fun gun.

How well that the suppressor work on the revolver? I always thought cylinder gap was an issue, but maybe not as much on a .22?
It’s last on the list for today. I’m 5 down, 5 to go.

Very low expectations. Some discussion here if you missed it:

Haven’t actually pull the trigger on any yet, but these are all on todays agenda…

T-minus 60 seconds…

Short write-up here:

We fired my SilencerCo Sparrow on the Beretta 21 .22lr and the Keltec CP33 at Battery Oaks.

Shot a Taurus TX22 wearing a Rugged Oculus and a Banshee 200 wearing a Rugged Obsidian 9 today

One of those rare days where there’s not an SBR in sight…
