Port erosion certainly has not been a problem with the MP5SD.

It's interesting - from the pic above it appears that the ports nearer the breach are larger diameter than the ones closer to the muzzle. I wonder if the ports are located so that the holes all intersect in the grooves instead of the lands?

As close as those holes are together, I doubt it.

Cool concept. Doesn’t one of the MP5 variants also have ports to reduce velocity of 124gr? I’d like to wait and see how it performers once it’s in full production and reviews start rolling in. I got very excited about the MDP-9 with angstadt being a local company and it had a lot of hype but did not perform well

Well…it’s gonna reduce velocity. That’s the entire point of the design. 🤓

Yes. The MP5SD has an integral suppressor with the barrel ported into it.

It would certainly add a degree of complexity if you were maching by hand.

Using CNC equipment, not so difficult.
