Thinking about a single stack plastic pistol in .45acp. Shield? Glock? others?

Unfortunately, it’s not mine. Just a photo shamelessly lifted.
I was too lazy to pull mine outta the safe. 😂

What is trigger slap? (Love my XDS 4.0" in 9mm.)
Yours must not have it, because if it did you’d know it. I don’t know how to describe the mechanics of what actually happens but my early XDS 45 was very unpleasant to shoot.

I let an XDs 45 slip through my grasp- it was surprisingly easy to shoot well. I can honestly say that I still like the 1911 in a commander sized version , 1911 is really flat and with a quality holster and belt it isn’t hard to carry. The trade off for a heavier gun is a gun that is easier to shoot well.
Boat anchor - LOL.

Ga Ga? 😁

I saw your post and thought “WTH”?

then I noticed some generous CFF modular type person gave me a new nom de plume.

At least it wasn’t sugarti...,
Nevermind. @concepthomes2 can tell you.

It's better than your last one. 😉

Congrats, by the way. I was once told the only good thing about children is grandchildren. Enjoy!

I was shocked today at how soft shooting the Shield 2.0 in 45acp is.
And VERY impressed at how it puts rounds on target. I mean really impressed.

Having had a G36 and a G19 at the same time, I think the 36 was just a little lighter, but very similar in size. A G19 sized gun at 6+1 seems better off for the 19 to be carried. It shot great for what it was, but I feel there are better options out there.

Had an XDS9 and it shot great (I know, not in 45) but my long sausage fingers were all over the slide stop, could barely get through a magazine. YMMV of course.

Pasted holes are from a 5" SA Range Officer in 45acp with a 3.5lb trigger at 20 yards, factory front fiber sight and Harrison .140 U-notch fixed rear.
Unpasted holes are from a Shield 2.0 .45 acp with 3.3” barrel, stock 5lb trigger, with Trijicon HD XR sights, also at 20 yards.

Ammo was various case head stamps of Larry Vicker’s old stash of military match 230 ball ammo

Pretty happy with this plastic blaster.

Did I mention how much I hate “smithing" on M&Ps?

I’ve put triggers and sights on plenty of Glocks and M&P 1.0s, 2.0s, and now 2.0 Shields. Why can’t they make the M&Ps simple fer cryn' out loud?

Shoulda bought a Glock.

Anyway, the Trijicon HD XRs are installed along with an Apex trigger shoe. The trigger is good enough in this little beast that I just wanted to get rid of the hinged trigger shoe.F97EFC83-2308-466E-B14C-5193AEBE4110_1_201_a.jpeg

I put an Apex in my Shield 9, and my wife promptly stole it.
