Trail camera pictures

Here is something interesting …

On my camera at the persimmon tree.

You see a doe looking intently at something just off to the right and behind the camera.
She takes a step in that direction.
Then you hear a human mimicking a grunt sound.
She then takes a few more steps in that direction and goes off camera.
The camera is still running and you hear thump of a bow being released.

I found no 🩸 anywhere. The hedgerow there is thick, so whoever must have been on the ground.

All posted land.

I've been getting an owl about once a week on a camera on my driveway and not sure what he has been getting. So late yesterday I put a squirrel in front of the camera to see if he would find it and about 5:38 this morning, he found it. About 5 minutes later, he took off with it.

And the deer didn’t care apparently. Out there immediately before and after

No idea why but the Spypoint sometimes shows 32° for no reason

Checked on my trail cameras this morning up in the mountains and I had this small buck that has something wrong with his left hind leg. Doesn't look like the typical fibrous tumors on the skin, but it is huge.

Anyone ever seen anything that looked like this?

I’ve heard of Hydrocyst but that’s usually between the front legs hanging down but I suppose it could be on the legs also. Could be caused by getting hit by a car

Not a trail cam pic, but he was sitting on the ground next to the driveway when we took the dog out before bedtime. I walked up pretty close and then he flew up in this tree in front of me. Took the pic with the flashlight on him with my phone.

Do you think he is a barred owl?

dog was at his "watch tower" on an ottoman by the window and lost his mind last night. Looked like a very lean cat. 2 vids for comparison

Housecat

Some other cat that drove my dog wild last night and had him flipping out for an hour or two

The pic of the squirrels reminds me of a story my dad used to tell.

In the early 1960's he owned a suppressor in .22 cal., no idea how long he had owned it. I clearly remember it being stored in a gray cabinet in our attic wrapped in a part of an old faded yellow t-shirt ( I still have the cabinet ). He would tell stories of squirrel hunting, how if he remained well hidden and had patience he could easily bring home several. He said after dropping one, the rest would stop, look around for a bit, then go back about their business. And then he'd drop another one.

No idea what happened to the suppressor. As far as I knew he had only owned 3 firearms, 2 bolt action rifles ( .30-06, .257 Roberts ) and a 12 gauge shotgun.

.

Just checked mine again. I’m pretty sure this is a coyote, but it looks awful wolf like!
