Well, this ended up being the last picture of this deer being alive. He walked straight to the bean field and was shot by a neighbor. My boy was sitting in the stand and could make out his outline but it wasn't light enough for him to shoot him. He measured right at 15"
Here's the last image of a buck I shot yesterday.
I haven't gone over the pics with a fine tooth comb yet, but I think this was him back in September.

Not a trail cam but may as well be. While at work, talking to the wife who was already home, she says “Damn, there goes a fox with a chicken”. I told her she was full of crap, it’s 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
Not too much to report, but I'll say it again. If this guy makes it through the season, I'll have to put some effort into hunting him next year.
Took the family Christmas tree shopping today. Got an alert with one I've been on the lookout for 🤨 But the biggest buck wouldn’t keep me from the memories of my girls

Not a trail camera pic, but a low quality 8x zoomed pic from my phones camera. Yesterday we came home from meeting @Stick Man and as we were turning into our driveway I noticed this buck standing in the neighbors yard, where 4 does were when I left out yesterday morning going hunting. My wife got out and crossed the road to get the mail, just to the left of the pic, and the buck just stood there looking at her about 50 yds away. I opened the car door and snapped the pic.
Since they are chasing does right now, he will probably get hit by a car crossing the road, like happens a lot of years.

I saw two does do this last year. It was not aggressive more like they both stood up on their back feet and gave each other a two handed high five. I thought it was pretty cool when it happened.
