Trijicon MRO failed...

I’m probably not likely to buy anything else from them, and I was already feeling that way prior to this. They did do right by me, but I honestly I don’t think they’re really innovating and there are a lot of other companies making as good or better for less money and with much better warranties.
That's kinda where I am. I have two ACOGs, several Reflex IIs, and 4 RMRs. Not sure I'll buy any more based on these reports.

Well, looks like they are going to take care of it for me. Just got this message from them.

Good Morning Derek,

My manager has approved to repair your MRO as a Non-Warranty No Charge One-Time Courtesy. Thank you for your patronage and have a wonderful week.

Take Care,

"No charge one-time courtesy."

wtF? They really don't seem to give two craps about their civilian customers (many of whom work on both sides). That's a shame.

That piece of shit product is only still in business because the endless money supply US military uses their product. Which is repaired out of taxpayer endless money. People need to stop buying brands because government endorsed them. The reason the warranty is not 10 years or more is because they are good for 5 years. Why do you think the warranty is 5 years?

The warranty is 5 years on electronics and I believe this failure was past that timeline. A freebie outside of the warranty seems like decent enough customer service.

Just got it back in the mail today. Hopefully I’m good for 5 more years….
