I think high school history is all that’s required to get into liberal arts colleges, which is all that’s required to get into law school.

Reuters says Russia has recognized the two rebel areas as independent countries and will send Russian troops to those areas.

I've wondered for a while if our braindead useful idiot class of indoctrinated socialists in training have ever thought for one second that even if they succeed in creating their Communist States of America, that they will still need to be able to defend it from the other communist countries. Or do they think that all communist countries are best buddies?

I used to say that another 8 years of a socialist like Obama and this country is going to be done for. But I calculated wrong. lol It's not even going to take Joe 2 years.

China is taking notes and bulking up in the gym while we're sending Kamala to fail all over the world. lol

Wondering how this goes. Does he take Donbas and cool off to minimize blow back from NATO (like Crimea or does he use false flag attacks to go for the whole enchilada. He’s not really fooling the west. I’m still hopeful he’s not going all out but it’s a dicey bet to put money on.

My bigger concern from all this frankly is that any sanctions etc is just going to push China and Russia closer together.

Honestly, I had no idea the Russians had that long of a history in Crimea. They sure didn't teach us that in world history classes in high school, and somehow was omitted in the European history classes in college. You are right, if more people knew a little more history they couldn't pull this kind of stuff on us. Hmm, 2 + 2 = ?

I heard a few of her interviews in the last few days. At best she is a sophomoric idiot. At worst she’s going to get good people killed. And if we‘re lucky she’ll get some of her own killed too.
 
Biden apparently went Toe to Toe with Putin at some point. lol When was this? Probably during the 40 years and counting that he was wrong about everything.

Within a year Russia will force Germany to ask US Forces to leave... they will be nudged to do so but behind the scenes they will be threatened cause Germany is just a shell of a country now. Merkel went ahead and Green New Dealed Germany's sovereignty away. And the rest of Europe will follow. Putin will own all of Europe thanks to Biden.

Hundreds of years of history. Crimea is to Russia what Taiwan is to China.

My guess is they will absorb the Russian majority areas, declare victory and stop there. They don't really have the resources to occupy the rest of a country that basically hates them and will actually fight back, and they are probably smart enough to have learned the lessons from Afghanistan. Putin will have gotten most of what he wanted except for getting NATO off his southern flank, and he may bluff and ask for that in return for not attacking the rest of Ukraine. The Russians were always going to win this one, and Joe and the Ho were always going to look like the fools they are.

Here's what puts China in a bind. If they recognize that Donbas is its own territory and can do what it wants, it's basically in the same position as Taiwan. So they recognize that then they have to recognize Taiwan as a ton of us and able to make its own decisions. They may have to sit this one out and take notes for sure.

I agree. I do think if he does not roll all of Ukraine up then he will take Odessa and the disputed area by Maldova and make sure to shore up the land around Crimea as well.

I think Xi has painted himself into a corner on that one; the CCP will never recognize Taiwan (AKA East China) as having the right to self determination, unless of course they decide to join mainland China, and after watching what happened to Hong Kong there is pretty much no chance of that. Never underestimate the CCP's level of hypocrisy.
 
Wife said son couldn’t text today because Commander came to see him today and told him be packed and ready to depart in the morning Lithuania time. She asked him were he was going and he said can’t say but he’s heading out with the big dogs whatever that means. One of the Ft Bragg boys I know is in Germany and says the base is active packing and staging the last few days. He is an officer and Ranger.
 
I guess Ukraine's supply chain is officially interrupted now.

Now things are going to get interesting. Now we will get to see all the miscalculations of Biden and his anti American administration unfold before our very eyes just like with every other catastrophe Biden created or facilitated. One of his go to moves is to send Harris to make a fool of herself and embarrass the USA, Check... got that one out of the way early.

Let's see how Biden's sanctions go. Biden has a good record of imposting santions, he already imposed sanctions on the USA when he took office and they seem pretty effective and Russia assisted Biden when they shut down every gas station where I live for a week last year. You can say it was a dry run for something bigger but it wasn't a dry run, he actually did it. And there was no consequences... well... I take that back, Putin did get a list of targets not to attack from Biden... a list I'm sure Putin already devised, but it means so much more to him to receive the same list from the cowering and appeasing leader of their #1 enemy, Biden.

At least when Trump was president we had an administration that was focused on doing something related to their job description and not singularly focused on weakening our own country. Putting the radical American hating former AG of California, Xavier Becerra who isn't even a doctor, to be the Secretary of DHHS was a form of sanctions against the American people. Putting Buttigieg anywhere without adult supervision was a form of sanctions against the American people. Really, there are too many to list and I know I'm preaching to the choir. I'm just waiting for Biden and his feckless minions to impose sanctions on Russia now and then see a domino effect of countries that will not help us. And why wouldn't they help us? We always keep our word right? We always help our allies and would never abandon them right? lol I think some are going to act like they are helping us at first, but we'll see how long that lasts. Some people are better chess players than others. And some of our allies will appear to be helping us at first, but their real intentions are probably not what they seem to be. That's cause they learned how to play chess pretty well against the USA to get what they want for decades.

It's sad that right now we are forced to rely on the feckless NATO and European countries to stand up to Putin. Thanks to Biden, they already have faced the reality that the USA, the country they depended on for security and treated like garbage for decades, cannot be depended on anymore, but can they depend on themselves now? Guess we'll find out. All the years of treating us like crap has now come back to haunt them. lol Maybe we'll send Kamala back in a month to boost their morale.
