I haven't seen it done that way before. I normally tuck the end like this.

Hamilton Pilot Auto
Hamilton viewmatic auto
Movado Heritage series
Hamilton Spirit of Libert Chrono
I know very little about watches and what they are worth, movements, quality, etc. Any advice is welcome. @gsimmons @amnesia
I also have a strong love for vintage omegas in the 2-500 range. I like how they patina but a lot of people hate them.Funny, I don’t like chrono’s or panda dials. Just goes to show that everyone has different tastes.
From that batch I’d buy the pilot.
Values are subjective, I would look on eBay etc. To figure that out.
They are not cheap watches, the time only ones probably have a Swiss ETA 2824 or 2836 movements or a Jap made Miyota movement.
The chronographs are probably Valjoux 7750s.
I'm looking on ebay and amazon. Ebay has the Pilot Auto for $650.98 and it is from Jomashop. Jareds has it for $885 plus tax. I assume Jomashop sales genuine watches since you listed them. Are there any sellers that I should be aware of that sale potential knock offs? I also found out that the Auto Pilot has an ETA 2836-2 Movement The Viewmatic has an H10 Movement, and the Spirit of Liberty has an H-21 Movement. I don't even know what that means. You absolutely can't go wrong with the valjoux 7750 movement. I'm extremely partial to chronographs so my vote would lead you down that path. That watch also has the "panda" dial. One of my Grail watches is a vintage Omega with a panda dial but it's also about 7-15k depending on the year and condition. I normally use eBay and watchrecon.com for price checking along with chrono24 and jomashop.
As @gsimmons mentioned prices with be subjective because people will prefer a watch to look a certain way & be happy with a quartz movement vs a less flashy one that has an automatic Swiss movement.
Jomashop is legit. I didn't know they had an eBay store though.I'm looking on ebay and amazon. Ebay has the Pilot Auto for $650.98 and it is from Jomashop. Jareds has it for $885 plus tax. I had several conference calls this afternoon so I did some research on those. From what I read, all of those movements are pretty decent. Is there any reason to choose one over the other or just go with what I like as far as looks?H-21= Base calibre Valjoux 7750
H-10= Base calibre ETA C07.611 it’s similar to the 2824.
The first watch I bought after I decided to start wearing watches again was a g shock metal. I’ve beat the hell out of that watch, I wear it while shooting, working, whatever and it still looks good even with the scratches. I think I paid $350 for it but it is a big watchI mentioned in a different post I was gonna wear my Seiko 5 at work just to see how it did.
It's holding tough but it loses about a minute a week with daily use..... Kind of disappointing. Ok. Very disappointing.
None of my cheap watches ever lost time. Is this a common thing with inertia wound?
It is at least small, light and inobtrusive. But somehow like everything I wear it has pin/band issues.
This watch has the band pin come loose every week or two. The couple fossils I've tried break pins. My usual cheap Casio solar toughs just break the bands...
I avoid big bezels
A. Because I have tiny little wrists.
B. Because I have so many issues with the band that I don't want to have a giant watch that gives me more surface area to shag against things..
It's super annoying to want a quality, work tough, time piece. That I'm willing to wear at work (when knowing the time is most useful) but won't break the bank when it does die.
There must be one out there. Under a hundo, not huge and doesn't come off randomly due to band issues....

I did read about the Movado movement and have taken that one out of the equation and have added another Model Hamilton that is very similar to the Spirit of Liberty but with the same strap as the pilot auto. I meant to ask earlier, what is a panda dial? No, get what you like the best. Be aware the movado has a quartz movement.

Long after the sun burns out and the planet's remaining life is frozen and obliterated.
After the heat death of the universe.
After time it's self ceases to have meaning or purpose.
The Casio F-91W will live on.

Are EcoDrive watches waterproof not water resistance? Was thinking about one for the boat (saltwater).
I did some research on water resistance ratings and unless they're ISO certified ratings, be careful doing anything more than washing your hands or swimming in your pool. 100M non-ISO rating just means that in a lab controlled setting the mfg is claiming the watch's seals can withstand 10 bar of momentary pressure before leaking. If it's not ISO, don't trust it. 10-50M means nothing. Are EcoDrive watches waterproof not water resistance? Was thinking about one for the boat (saltwater).
Question: I have a Seiko SNK803. I don’t know if you have or have had an SNK80x, but do you know if the SNZG11 date is any bigger than the SNK80x ones?Replaced some cheap Timex Expedition watches with some better ones recently, both gifts from the wife.
