That was number 1….the second came peepin in the garage while I was piddlin’ around. Quite a bit smaller than the first, may have been a male after the female.
There was a watersnake under the dock at the lake in Snow Camp I was at on Monday. My nephew that is afraid of water that had just been convinced to get in the water is the one that saw it. It wanted nothing to do with us and swam off.

Harmless juvenile rat snake. Hard to tell between gray rat snake and eastern in this phase. Most adult “eastern” rat snakes turn out a shade of yellow
