IDPA doesn't use white targets so it probably doesn't matter much.I personally would not practice shooting at no-shoot (white) targets all the time. That's just me though.
True, but who only shoots IDPA? (I am 100% behind cover waist down and >50% waist up already, quickly moving to 100%)IDPA doesn't use white targets so it probably doesn't matter much.
Me, every Saturday.True, but who only shoots IDPA?

They sell the brown cardboard IDPA (USPSA, too) targets at FG&G, or you can buy them by the boxload like I do at Midway, Target Barn, etc. Looks like Target Barn is cheaper than what I paid at Midway. Just be sure to calculate shipping if you buy a box of 100, because it's about $20 more.I understand your point. But I think it's really important to identify a target before you shoot. Plus I'm made them,, didn't have and cardboard

Me! Would love to try this USPSA thing I keep hearing about, but it's not gonna happen when the nearest one is 3 hours round trip. You guys need to start something down in Fayetteville!True, but who only shoots IDPA? (I am 100% behind cover waist down and >50% waist up already, quickly moving to 100%)

the nearest one is 3 hours round trip.
Round trips monthly:
First weekends: 5 hours
Second weekends : 2 hours
Third weekends : 3 hours
Fourth weekends : 1.5 hours
Fifth weekends are BUG matches at H20: 2 hours

Fair enough. Guess I'm spoiled, cause there are several venues I drive to that are an hour away. Just none of them are USPSA.That is probably the best accurate averages of most people shooting USPSA. Some folks drive 4 - 6 hrs round trip for the matches in this State and neighboring. The level and quality are on average the best the sport has to offer.
I can see you shooting USPSA and having a large time. You shoot fast and got dem young laigs.Fair enough. Guess I'm spoiled, cause there are several venues I drive to that are an hour away. Just none of them are USPSA.

I've just started and I'm not real good so I'm going to the closest thing to me. I started at H20 because it's 15 minutes from home. If USPSA would have been near by,,, I would have started there. I'm just glad to be competing.

I have 2. Rowan is 20 min and CGGR is right at an hour.l'm jealous of anyone with a match less than an hour out.

There used to be a good match in Wagram. I think I shot their last match ever, then they just kind of faded away.Me! Would love to try this USPSA thing I keep hearing about, but it's not gonna happen when the nearest one is 3 hours round trip. You guys need to start something down in Fayetteville!
I jumped on the NC section website a month ago and found that one. Planned on trying it out before I figured out they weren't running any longer! I even called The Range Complex and asked if they did pistol comps. They said they'd like to do USPSA, and the guy even asked me (they have no idea who I am) if I'd be interested in running one, lol. There used to be a good match in Wagram.
