What’s your one “unicorn” gun you know you’ll never have?

Sorry, I got nothing for this thread. Anything I ever wanted I found eventually and got it.

Chase the dream, brother. You truly get it.

In hindsight, I find em kind of plastic-y, but coming from the M16A2, I loved totin' n shootin' that thing with the Bundeswehr for a week, out near the Polish border. Found the integral optic exceedingly handy for both reacting to an ambush while mounted & as a platoon in defense.

There are soooooo many....

Most of y’all’s “unicorns” are actually attainable because they exist. That’s not a ‘unicorn’.

My unicorn is a Sig P210 in a widebody that houses 15+ round mags.

The Sig 44/16 ... a true “Unicorn” THAT DOES EXIST ... less than 2 dozen made ... and only a couple made it to the US. You can buy a Toyota Camry for what one is worth.

My unicorn gun would be a 1911 Commander in 9mm with a decent DA/SA trigger.

With an aluminum frame, you have a phenomenal carry gun. With a steel frame, you have an absolute monster for Production Division.

That pair of cabot 1911s made from meteorite. I think the pair was around 3 million if my dementia ain't acting up

That is NICE. I've got a serious jones for a P220 SAO Elite. That, a loved on CZ97 & my DW 1911 would be what I consider fine examples of the "best" .45ACP bottom feeders ever made.

I know, I'm way more of a cowboy gun kinda guy, but have always been a fan of the Lord's caliber & the guns that fire it.

Dornaus & Dixon Bren Ten. This is my ultimate bucket gun. To own one of the fully functional ones from the Miami Vice TV show would be pretty cool, but I’d easily settle for one that’s been taking up space in someone’s safe.

Also, a real, live H&K MP5. With fully functional giggle switch.......

Probably get that second one before the first. [emoji849]

As for this thread, there's lots that I want that I'll never own.
Either due to rarity, cost, or both.
Or if I can afford it, due to the reality of knowing I cant JUSTIFY the purchase (Im just not very well off) of a gun I know I wont shoot much.

So there is a gun that I really want, but know I'd never shoot - a LIBERATOR.
I love WW2 history, and think this is a neat piece

At one time you could buy a reproduction. I don't know if they still make them.
Found it.

Love the P220 platform. Grail would be the P220 Scorpion Compact. Saw one once, unfortunately living in CA and not on the roster.

Anything full auto cause I a) can't afford it and b) don't really need it ;-)

Impossible gun to own: Full auto CZ Scorpion EVO. I've put probably 1k rounds through one and man are they fun!

Possible to own that never works out: Satin stainless CZ-75. Every time I find one, I don't have the funds for it. Every time I have the funds for it, I can't find one.

I checked out my buddies stainless 75 on my camping trip a few weeks ago. I was smitten, made him a stupid offer, and he still wouldn’t budge!

A modern-day LeMat Revolver:

From the link: "Our model LeMat revolver, using cartridge ammunition, is a nine-shot center fire surrounding a twenty-gauge smooth bore shotgun barrel. The .38 caliber rifle barrel accepts all .38 caliber ammunition including .380 auto, 9 millimeter lugar, .38 special, .38 super and .357 magnum."

Looks straight out of Hellboy!

First time seeing this modern design, will look into it. I’ve always been intrigued with the design of the LeMat. It definitely went against the grain for today, much less the period it was developed
