Re-reading The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
Just got past the “courtroom” scene where Man (Manuel) is an ad hoc judge. I gotta say, it sounds like a good approach to the court system.
Here is a fun read...
Monster Hunter International
Welcome to Monster Hunter International. Five days after Owen Zastava Pitt pushed his insufferable boss out of a fourteenth story window, he woke up in the hospital with a scarred face, an unbelievable memory, and a job offer. Santa brought me the entire Foxfire series; I read several when I was a kid that Dad had. Working through them now, looking forward to reading the entire set.
I never miss a John Sandford novel. The last one was a Davenport / Flowers team up.Working through the Lucas Davenport series...currently on #14. Which means I’m close to blending in the Virgil Flowers series.

I read the first two Flowers. I think in the second one he went over to Lucas’ house and talked about his family, the nun, some of his coworkers, etc being there. So then I went back and started on the Davenport stuff. Haven’t heard Virgil’s name yet, but I’m assuming it pops up in this one or the next.I never miss a John Sandford novel. I got into audiobooks more than 20 years ago. If I'm driving or working around the house or exercising I'm listening to one. Since I retired I hear one in about 2 days.I have recently started reading again, use to all the time, but ended up not having as much free time, I started on audio books and then picked up a couple good books and now I’m back at it.
Right now I’m reading “where the crawdads sing”, it’s a murder mystery that happens off the coast of NC, story takes place in 50’s and 60’s.

He’s already done that. I’m starting book #16 tonight. I think the first Flowers book was released after book #17. So I figured he’d appear in one or two of the Davenport before spinning off.Flowers doesn't show up until Davenport leaves the City and joins the BCA. Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Just finished Skunk Works by Ben Rich and Leo Janos, fantastic read. Rich was president of the Lockheed Skunk Works after Kelly Johnson (a tough act to follow), and Janos also co-wrote Yeager, Chuck Yeager’s autobiography. If you haven‘t read that, stop what you’re doing and get it. Then Skunk Works. Upbeat, kick-ass reads.
I should add that I just got Kelly Johnson’s autobio and I expect no less from it. Will report when finished!
Like the English know anything about anything.
The mid-70's called; they want their reading list back!I just finished a re-read of Confederacy of Dunces and am starting again on The Teachings of DonJaun by Carlos Constaneda
