Do tell more. I've had 6.0s in the past but its been 9 years. Who are the tuning gurus nowdays?

For ecm tuning, Ive heard very good things about blessed performance.

As for the ficm tuning, check out ficmrepair.com

My truck isn't studded so i just loaded the atlas 40 tune, but i could definitely tell a difference in throttle response, which has always been laggy due to my powermax.

I'll check them out. I just acquired an 04 dually 4x4. 80k full bullet proof

You tried a Klock Werks? Developed in the wind tunnel in Mooresville, NC.

.
Freedom Shields. Very happy with the performance but wanted one just a shade lighter so I can park in the garage without landing like a taildragger.
Got it an inch shorter also.

I'm still working on this VFD/3-phase motor conversion on my little drill press. The motor I ordered is GIANT! I probably should have researched motor size a little bit before ordering. lol.
Here it is with the freshly painted drill press body and new chuck. It's twice as tall as the factory Delta one.

I did some measuring, some designing and laser cutting, and just a little bit of welding and made a mounting plate for the huge motor and VFD today. It mounts at the factory pivot point and has some adjustment for tension.

My power cord, DPST switch, and adjustable belt arrived today. I'm still waiting on the motor pulley. This thing should be up and running by next week. :)

The 2000 Ford Ranger that I recently bought had cruise control that didn't work. I'll probably never use it but I wanted it to work. The buttons on the steering wheel were all broken up. I found out that I could replace those buttons for $18 so I thought I'd go for it. If this didn't fix the cruise control, at least the new buttons will look better.

I never thought to take pictures as I went. I had to remove the air bag which was a little uncomfortable. Anyway, I replaced the switches and like a miracle, the cruise control now works! Here are my new switches. Now I'm ready to give it a good cleaning.

The new to me f350 6.0 with 80k on it, since I acquired it i noticed the temp never got above 172*.

So I did the tstat and coolant flush, blue spring, and for whatever reason the po did a 4 inch exhaust but kept the 3.25 inch cat, so that is no more.

Sounds better and breathes better.

Stock downpipe?

Just installed some new seat covers in my TJ Rubicon. Not a big job but a tad bit of a pita. Surprisingly the back seat was a breeze. The fronts not so much.

If you look close you can see a big wrinkle on the driver’s side backrest. It’s normal and they should shrink up a bit and flatten out with use.

Replaced the 9007 Halogen bulbs with a pair of Hi Kari LED 9007 6000K 10K Lumen off Amazon on closeout deal in my '99 Sable.
WOW crisp white light, the stock halogen bulbs that came with the new headlight assemblies are now in the box as spares should the LED fail in the future.

When I tried some in my 03 sport trac, the high beam was great, low beam was pitiful. Tried readjusting it too. Went back to halogen for a better low beam.

I replaced the rear leaf spring bushings in my 89 f250, pulled the springs, put in new u bolts. Definitely seems to ride better.

Problem with the Taurus and Sables is the power was routed directly to the headlight switch using smaller wire gauge and resistance from voltage drop causes the headlights to be dim from day one. Not sure if the newer models fixed that. Some owners wire direct to battery with relays and fused to get full voltage to the halogen bulbs.

I saw someone post about a 4-way blade on their log splitter and wanted to see if I could set mine up that way. I finished it up today. I cut the blade out of 3/8" steel on the CO2 laser, spent some time grinding a bevel for the edge, and welded it up to the factory blade. I also welded on those stands on the bottom. This thing loves to flip onto its side when it isn't hooked up to the tractor. Not anymore :D . I also had a local place fab up some fresh hydraulic hoses for me...to the tune of $255. My other ones were brittle.
Ready to hook it back up to our 55hp Deere!

This past weekend I replaced the valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, spark plugs, and both cam sensors in my recently acquired 2004 G35. Also some other random stuff.

Since I got it I've had to clean it extensively, clear the sunroof drain tubes, replace several bulbs, fix the 3rd brake light (requiring wire soldering), reseal the trunk, removed a lot of dried up food from under the seats. Can't complain much though. It's a great car and I got a good deal on it.

This is a work in progress and still needs basically all of the suspension bushings replaced, the radio head unit repaired, some dents fixed and some paint.

I changed the oil in my '99 Sable 255K using the OTC Tools 5911A Drain Plug Pro Magnetic Remover.
Drips dry and no more fishing the drain plug out of the container. :)

My sister-in-law's front door latch plate.

I kid you not.

I noticed it when I was leaving. Didn't have time to hunt down or go buy some 3 inch screws to set this into the framing around the door.

A project for my next visit.

Got my dads J10 moved out of the shop. Recently had pulled the engine for a release bearing and timing cover. Had an old Holley that would never run quite right, I had an Edelbrock sitting from a bad engine and tossed both together, runs better now than it has in years. I keep having a squeak like a lifter issue but I’ll have to put exhaust on it to determine what’s going on.

Also started cleaning the shop. My 6.0 is down for HG replacement, probably not pulling the cab and doing it myself but I’m going to see if it’ll fit in the shop.
