What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Picked up a used 12gauge stoeger coach gun in stainless, needs some tlc,but the 150.00 price tag was the deciding factor, took it to the range Saturday, what a hoot to fire. Would like to give a report on the Marlin I mentioned above but the first round launched the bubbaed front sight into the stratosphere, win some lose some

I got one of those cheap Wal-Mart $4.88 plastic "ammo cans" and put in eye and ear protection, a roll of tape, a small bottle of gun oil, and a couple other odds and ends, to keep in my truck. In case I can go shooting on a whim without packing the regular range bag.

Man that is a really good idea. Never thought about that before. Might have to steal your idea ;)

A Damage Industries brake. It's on there somewhere!

Two boxes of 45 Auto Hornady Critical Defense. And here's why...

For the last month or two I've been breaking a very fundamental rule of firearms. I've carried a G21 multiple times a week, with a mag full of this ammo...but have never shot a single round of it through the pistol.

I bought the pistol as a police trade-in. Replaced the guide rod/RSA and also installed a LWD threaded barrel. Fired multiple mags of 230gr ball ammo through it without any hiccups. Figured this HCD would be fine, but wasn't sure since it's only 185gr. I'd shot the same ammo in my 45 Pitbull, but obviously wasn't as concerned about cycling with that one.

So, at the range today to try the July Benchrest Rimfire Challenge, I made sure the G21 was with me. Pulled it from the holster...and fired 14 flawless rounds downrange. Grabbed the two boxes of ammo on the way home and loaded up 27 rounds.

(Maybe the only thing dumber than carrying ammo I've never fired was carrying the G21 holstered into Academy with an empty mag. At least with the full mag I'd been carrying I'd get one shot off.)

Midway delivered some cheap Glock sticks. I already have some of these and they work. On closeout for less than $14 each. I wish they weren't clear. It's uncomfortable to see those springs all wadded up in there. I don't know how they work, but they do.

Wait a minute, did I miss you telling us about a new Super Blackhawk?

That would be affirmative my good sir. Got a deal that was too good to pass up so I have graduated to the world of big bore. It needed a new rear sight blade and the grip had a blemish on it...but it was in pretty darn good shape.

Now it's time to shoot it, feed it, and find a new holster for it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of revolvers. Please don't make me beg for pictures. Begging will soil my tough guy image.

You done good. What stocks did you get?

I was going to get some original wood ones, as I like the way the wood and steel look together. But as a shooter I think my hands/wrists will thank me.
