I wonder if it was her idea to take that chemical?
Of course it was ...
NBC News spoke to the wife ... "I had (the substance) in the house because I used to have koi fish," she told the network. "I saw it sitting on the back shelf and thought, 'Hey, isn't that the stuff they're talking about on TV?'"
NPR Fact CheckAnybody know how South Korea can test so many for the virus when compared to here in our country. Better yet, how can we accomplish what the Korean's have done without using their methods.
Because we have more people, the same number of tests are a proportionately smaller part of our population. Now, the United States has tested more than 300,000 people, government officials touted Tuesday, noting it had passed South Korea in the raw number of tests conducted.
At about 300,000 tests in each country, that means South Korea has tested 1-in-170 people; the United States: 1-in-1,090.
AZ man dies after taking chloroquine thinking it would protect him from the virus.
Forbes reported that Trump said it was safe because it has been around a long time and he is responsible for the man's death.
Problem in the man and his wife took chloroquine phosphate - an aquarium cleaning product. Trump did not endorse all forms of chloroquine as safe.
The wife survived and blames Pres. Trump for the death of her husband.

I hope that this event is a wake-up call to our country. We don’t need the cheapest crap built by children in other countries. We don’t need students from around the world filling our universities. We need products built at home. We need our own children to have the desire and be able to afford attending American universities. We need those same children filling tech and medical jobs that are so in demand now.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=2ahUKEwjh3pPyyrXoAhVHJt8KHWDfAeQQFjAAegQIBhAB&url=https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/harvard-university-professor-and-two-chinese-nationals-charged-three-separate-china-related&usg=AOvVaw3OtM9J7R7MXO-0hdx80GDI
Anyone remember this article that ran for one day. Interesting read about a Harvard professor who took money and had two Chinese nationalist working on biological research found with vials going to China. Could not be related but shows the dangers we face by letting foreign entities overrun our schools and research centers. This was going on for years. It’s would be very easy to inflict nations with a deadly disease and ruin us economically.
Guilford just jumped on the bandwagon: https://www.guilfordcountync.gov/home/showdocument?id=10190..... and there goes Durham, shelter in place, announcement tomorrow (3/25).
Most of the items I use are made in China or Mexico. I look for the supply chain to diminish. The cost will skyrocket to make up for decreasing sales. That goes hand in hand as I’ve seen in the past. When you give control to an outside entity you cripple the ability to perform.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=2ahUKEwjh3pPyyrXoAhVHJt8KHWDfAeQQFjAAegQIBhAB&url=https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/harvard-university-professor-and-two-chinese-nationals-charged-three-separate-china-related&usg=AOvVaw3OtM9J7R7MXO-0hdx80GDI

Hey, did you try your echolink this morning? I was on it for a little bit and then it said, "Not in QSO" and I couldn't reconnect to our usual machine, but I could to the one that works better for you.And just like that, I'm working from home until further notice.

I am also surprised your not on the federal 'essential' list.
Agreed. It is better than nothing. It is highly sensitive to change in mobile internet, for example switching from a 4G to 3G tower or going from cellular to wifi and will disconnect. I always say (to David) that it's the damned programmers in Zimbabwe ... or some other 3rd world country. He doesn't appreciate my humor. It was the first time I've really used echolink, and I'm not a fan - it's a little bitchy, but I suppose it's better than nothing.
Coat racks are useful all the timeIt's scary the people that make it through med school. We've had some really bright, really good ones, but man we've had some that were worth about as much as a coat rack.
I vividly remember describing to one why you shouldn't perform chest percussion on a patient with floating ribs. Same one ordered an asthma maintenance drug on a patient because they had a cough.
Exactly. If people started drinking bleach or huffing Lysol, would that be his fault too?My youngest son announced at the dinner table, “Trump shouldn’t be tweeting that out about taking that!”
I said calmly, “He didn’t tell anyone to take aquarium cleaner."
I have been pushing the “ Stay at home” for mom and cousin. ... I have enough fresh and can food for 3 weeks and enough deep storage for 12months!
So F me. You can’t save those that will not save themselves....
A Kentucky mayor’s FB post.
Another member tells me that sometimes. It’s either because I copied it from another site or posting from a Mac.Just says IMG for me... Something on my end?
So we all might get a DNR to go along with that check:
https://www.adn.com/nation-world/20...-resuscitate-orders-for-coronavirus-patients/
2:20 p.m.: State Health Director Dr. Elizabeth Tilson said half of the 10,000 hospital beds in North Carolina are empty and available to handle any surge in patients from the pandemic. Hospitals also are expected to provide more beds during a surge, she said.
Eighteen percent of the intensive care unit beds are available, she said.
So only 18% of all ICU beds are open and we are just getting started.... Now about that DNR....
Aesop at Raconteur Report says that the day they try to order him into a room to treat a Covid patient without proper PPE is the day he walks out the door. This happens where I work, and I walk out. We're already being sent to war unarmed, shorted on PPE, refused testing even after we've come in contact with probable infections.
A friend of mine's wife was in your ICU for several weeks recently after some serious surgery. They sent her to a rehab facility where they couldn't care for her properly and she wound up back at your hospital. The family is looking at options like a better facility for a short while or even just bringing her home and getting some in home help while she recovers. The hospital is a virtual ghost town. But some of our ICUs are full, or close to it.
We're not hospital, but we deal with blood/plasma and get to stand around up close to people in a room full of the general public who are known to not make the best health decisions. We try to keep distance, but you can only do that so much when the job requires touching... Our centers are starting to get hit hard (for reasons unknown), rules are being temporarily changed, and we're on the brink of a walkout every day. Corporate is calling on back room people to spend more time out on the floor, which means they can't do their own jobs. I tried taking a laptop home today for my day off... VPN is shot. This happens where I work, and I walk out. We're already being sent to war unarmed, shorted on PPE, refused testing even after we've come in contact with probable infections.
This will be where I draw the line. I took no oath, but I live by my own.
Typical. Trump never said to self-medicate, but idiots always need to find someone else to blame. (let's completely leave aside that what he took isn't what Trump was talking aboutThe wife survived and blames Pres. Trump for the death of her husband.
Quite sure it would be.Exactly. If people started drinking bleach or huffing Lysol, would that be his fault too?
Funny, my son just got hired to do exactly that. They need corpsman to take temps, whip out the silver bullet on everyone entering the facility
YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE.They need corpsman to take temps, whip out the silver bullet on everyone entering the facility
SEIU located 39 million N95 masks, will sell to hospitals for $5 each, that's $195 million dollars.
3M N95 masks box of 20 $24 at Home Depot sell for $23.95, or $1.20 each. Talk about price gouging and how did they 'find' 39,000,000 masks?

Nevertheless, it is a creative way for blue-state politicians to funnel inordinate amounts of taxpayer money to a union.
