Just got an email minutes ago from the ASA.
Thought everyone would like to read it.

I'm right there with you at 5 days. 🫣Well I’m 8 months deep. Happy for y’all, but a little miffed mine is still pending.
That may very well be it.I think the main takeaway is that they did away with the first-in, first-out bottle neck.
That means that the 70% or so of clean applications are no longer held up behind the 30% that were delayed because they required further review.
HALLELUJAH!!!
Tarheel State does my engraving on the suppressors I build. She was telling me in the last week theyve had 20 forms come in under TWENTY HOURS !!!. Thats what the timeframes are like these days. Ive had two under a week for my customers with one at 30 hours.I’ve never bought a suppressor. I’m not savvy to all the forms and such so are you guys saying the start to finish times to buy a suppressor have gone from almost a year to days in some cases? Is this across the board or for people previously approved for other items or ? I’ve been thinking more and more about getting one but the ATF makes me nauseous so I’ve always taken the “SUCK IT” approach. I’m trying to want to play the game.
Buy your first through a silencershop kiosk online and use their simple trust process. In fairness to the ATF, they've never shot a dog over going over a can bought fair and square.I’ve never bought a suppressor. They were never off the table. You just need to supply pics of metal and machinery. Surely you can find pics of metal and machinery. So are form 1’s back on the table with this?
They ran it for forever like it was originally intended to be run. That was as an almost impenetrable roadblock .The federal government had its court approved taxation scam that only existed to kill interest in the devices listed. $200 in 1934 wasn't quite a fortune but it was the equivalent to 7 ounces of gold so $14000 to $15000 in todays money. It was a hard stop to the suppressor industry, machineguns etc. Thats what they wanted, not the $200. Lets face it $200 is not that much today. Two days at McDonalds. Interest is high in the devices but the ATF kept roadblocking until legal action from some states, who weren't on board like they used to be, threatened to take the whole system down and with SCOTUS the way it is now I think the administration decided it wasn't worth the risk. Lots of dancing around SCOTUS these days. So now they have abandoned, at least for now, the roadblock scheme. We will see how long it lasts. And to think it only took them nearly 100 years to figure this out.

And it is an election year.

The honest answer? No one knows.I'm right there with you.
So to those of you in the know, obviously things are going great for the 70%, my question is what is the wait time looking like for someone who, without fail, gets a half hour "Researching" toe tap on every NICS check?
Still looking at a year I guess?

Griffin has Recce 5K's with the muzzle device in stock and on sale. Things were about wiped even two weeks ago when I found the Polonium K's at Primary Arms, but they are since out of stock also.My local shop was pretty cleaned out of cans when I stopped by a coupla days ago.

Therye going fast if you have EFT's and are filing individual. Ive seen week clearance times. Trusts bog everything down and so do paper prints. Are form 1s also going in quickly like form4s looks like most are still 30-60days?
Yeah I, er my friend, has experimented with that a couple of times. The longest Researching wait so far, over an hour, actually took place the first occasion that the SSN blank was filled in.Do you provide your SS# when you complete the 4473?
I filed two last Monday for customers . The EFT guy came back in 33 hours . Other one hasn’t come back yetI did 2 form 4’s Thursday with EFT’s and a form 1 last Tuesday with paper prints, wonder which will come back first.
