Yeah Darth Wong gets all the best lines. Grunt. Whining that Darth Tootie isn't being a good Sith. More grunt.I am 3 episodes in and I‘m just not buying Darth Tootie or the inquisitors. They’re like watching live action ninja turtles.
Seems to me, her role is to fail.Everyone in this thread completely misunderstood the 3rd Sister. She was a youngling like I said all along. She had an agenda and a role to play which has yet to be played out.
I think at the end she saves Ben and dies.
I have enjoyed it.
At first I did not like her (the actress's portrayal, not the character). But, she's grown on me.
I read an article about the production, they have two Darth Vaders, one for sword play and stunts, the other for walking (??) and 'other' scenes.
I was thinking how accommodating the survivors were to list their names so that the Empire would know the job wasn't finished.I love it when she asks "do you want Anakin dead..," He pauses because he doesn't.
Tala is holding a thermal detonator.
Obiwan "There are other ways to fight....."
Anakin/Vader's Form V or Shien and Djem So fighting style and his mindset gets him in trouble again. "Until you overcome it a Padawan you will still be......."
Vader never even draws his own saber. Literally beats her with her own weapon.
Kenobi "Somethings Wrong...."
There are so many amazing hints in this episode that speak to the larger story. Kenobi reconnecting with the force. The realization that some Padawans might have survived order 66. It lays the ground work for why Grogu was saved. The underground Jedi railroad. I know so much of this is inside baseball but it is all there. F&F know what they are doing. They are creating and endless interconnected Star Wars universe which will be a cash cow for Disney.

The wife cried…when Leia’s music started playing.Let the finale begin…
It wraps up the story fairly decently…but I’m not sure it makes the Top 5, or even Top 10.I don't care about spoilers, they never inhibited my desire to see a TV show or a movie. So, I read a review today on the finale. The author said that not only is the finale the best episode of the series, it is probably the best part of the entire Star wars franchise. I look forward to seeing if it meets the standard.
That was about the point it somewhat turned around…about 1.87 episodes in. 🤣I was bored to tears with the first episode. Then bored to tears with the second. Shut it off half way through.
I just can’t get into this.
It's good - very good - but that's overstating it.The author said that not only is the finale the best episode of the series, it is probably the best part of the entire Star wars franchise.

That's because it's crap.I was bored to tears with the first episode. Then bored to tears with the second. Shut it off half way through.

That's because it's crap.
I guess I don't understand all the hate.
I watched the first couple of episodes because I hoped it would be good. It wasn't, so I quit watching it.Why do you watch it if you think its crap?
Literally the most snowflake post I have ever read on CFF.its really pretty simple and boils down to just a few things - alot of it is just not that good and people are tired of the woke crap.
i loved the easter eggs in kenobi. ill prob go back and watch the whole series again, but the first two episodes of kenobi i thought it was more woke crap -men suck, women are smarter and just as tough as men, diversity for the sake of being woke instead of being coincidental etc. but it got better. but only because of vader and kenobi.
trust me - i WANT to love everything star wars but alot of what comes out anymore just sucks (and not just star wars, but alot of newer movs). they use the same formulas over and over, with too little creativity and too much reliance on tech instead of good acting, with characters that no one cares about. you have to think a character is cool, interesting, genuine, relatable....... something - or the viewer doesnt get emotionally invested in the movie.
episode 3 had one of most visually stunning duals ever with the highly anticipated revelation of how anakin became vader. it should have been one of the greatest cinematic moments ever. but they cast a pouty, monotone robot with the emotional depth of a pizza box. in that case it didnt completely ruin it, but only because they had 3 decades of fandom anxiously waiting for big reveal - and so they coasted in on the capes of one of the greatest villians of all time and that eased what otherwise was a very lackluster performance by hayden. people only cared about his character because they knew he would become vader - not because he sold it onscreen.. NOOOOOOOOO
likewise in kenobi - AWESOME backdrop - vader/empire hunting jedis and face off with kenobi. thats an incredible opportunity -what star wars fan wouldnt want to see that and explore that storyline further. but they focused on the diversity checkbox rather than getting someone who could actually play the part. the grand inquistor looked somewhat menacing, but reva looked like a stubborn little cosby show kid trying to convince her suburban upperclass community she was a hardcore gangster when everyone knows she isnt. she just isnt convincing and it comes off so fake that no one cares about the character. and of course you cant say anything about it or your racist. overall the series was redeemed by the vader/kenobi story, but again they coasted on the history of the franchise rather than creating some compelling storyline that could stand on its own.
riva hid in plain sight for years, killing innocents just like the empire/anakin did just to have a shot at vader because otherwise he might "see it coming" - like THATS believable? i mean i can suspend my disbelief to believe in the force, ligthabers and a galaxy far far away but thats just dumb.
and while not as woke as the rest of the disney catalog - you cant help but wonder if its intentional that leia is the smart, sassy, independent, offspring while luke looks mildly retarded and doesnt warrant a speaking role. (i mean it is kind of hollywoods MO any more to immasculate and villify strong males) i mean little leia is somewhat beleivable (although also somewhat annoying) but again - only because she is an established character.
i mean look at boba fett - as a yoot - he was the absolute shiznit and barely uttered 10 words. they took one of the coolest characters ever, and made a series about him where the coolest character in it was a ewhole other bounty hunter and the coolest scene was him riding a rancor.
the rise of skywalker? omg - that was just total crap. i really cant think of a single redeeming element from it. not one.
the force awakens got off to a reasonable start, then the next episode devolved into a tit-milking jedi master despite being capable of throwing a black hole at his adversaries
kylo ren - i mean driver was a little more convincing than christensen - but thats a really low bar.
carrie fisher (the woman who sent me into early puberty) - look yall im mary poppins??
finn - pretty good actor really - but what is he even there for past ep8?
rey - girl powerrrrrrrr! - cute, not the worst actor, but again - she just isnt believable.
rebellions are built on hope! - so lets go climb a tower full of server drives and limit one of the coolest characters ever(and coolest scene) to about 30 seconds and then end the movie. it even had donnie yen in it - and hes freakin awesome. what happened there.
and then kathleen kennedy has the gall to blame the disappointment on too much skywalker saga, racism/sexism and "star wars fatigue"? (like thats even possible)
its frustrating. i dont get my hopes up anymore on news of a new release -but i keep watching.
No issues with not liking something but hate for hates sake because you don’t like the idea that women can be more powerful and not every hero is a white male is kind of BS. Most of the criticism I see here is based on those premises. In the end Star Wars in its entirely is a story about the balance of good and evil within all of us. The balance between what we are and what we want to be. It is a classic western set in space. It is infinitely adaptable. What I see in so many of the comments here is people who cannot or are unwilling to adapt. We do not live in the 1970s when it was introduced. I find comments by @smithnwesley laughable. Watch the original. Even in 1977 Leia was 100000X more capable than Luke, Luke was a man so in that day he had to be the hero but watch the movie. She is the more mature and capable character. I guess they were woke in 1977.Just because someone doesn’t enjoy the same things that you do doesn’t equate to hate. Not sure I understand that mindset.
I thought this particular show was boring as all get out and I stopped watching it. Doesn’t mean I think you’re boring for liking it.
