In my opinion, I think some of you guys underestimate the importance of how many people are out there. For example a guy this morning on the Breitbart interview said that he's out here for the people that had to work but he was out there for us. The majority of the constituents can't take the day off work come rally like this, but we can take 20 minutes to vote. And I think this is an indication of which way a vote might go. Especially if he pisses off the masses.

That is very pessimistic view. I hope you are wrong. I think if anything it will galvanize people to vote that might have otherwise stayed home. I taught a CCH class Saturday and made mention of this situation in Virginia in class a few times. I would say the majority of the people there were aware of the situation, including the moms and grandmas that were in the class and were upset about it to one degree or another. What they are attempting in Virginia is crazy. I think people are waking up. People going to Virginia and supporting 2A rights is positive. I wish i there.

My opinion: the 'masses' (in upper VA) voted this guy in.
And if ANY press comes out against the rally that'll sway more.

While I understand the issue - three counties controlling the entire state - those who were pro-2A didnt vote for this guy to begin with, and, more than likely, those opposed to guns didnt vote for his opponent.

well, the numbers do lean that way... but it certainly ignores the "others" that are in the crowd. Like the hispanic lady in an air force hoodie demanding more rallies that was jsut on one of the live feeds, and the possibly asian woman right after her saying th same thing...

The answer from the legislature and will be repeated by the governor and his sycophants: “elections have consequences”
On the other hand, one D in the legislature (and they don’t have a big majority) will not vote the party line on one bill because he/she want to get re-elected for another term and he/she will campaign on the fact that he/she only voted for common sense gun control without infringing on the rights of others.
 
So a lot of people seem to be asking, what will this accomplish? I have to admit that I’m one of them.
I don’t think this march will accomplish anything. I think the government will continue down the planned path and pass whatever law they want to. History has shown this is what they will do.
I hope I’m wrong but I’m not holding my breath.

What I really want to know is what’s going to happen next week or next month when they ram this new law down all of our throats. What then? Ignore it? Follow it? If you ignore it, for how long? What do you when you get pulled over for a tail light being out and the cop wants to know if you’ve got any weapons? Whoops, that 9mm holds 17rds! See where this is heading?
Where do you draw the line?

This is just one topic. Now add taxes, victimless crimes....a number of agitators. It’s all building up.


I really, really hope that I’m wrong. I in no way want things to become violent. I’m praying that things go well today and in the future.

Have not seen too many that are looking to start stuff- from any side
About 30% are open carry long guns- every thing from AR/AK to O/U shotgun and muzzle loader
Everyone has been very polite lol. And as crowed as it is it could be bad

Oh, my view is very pessimistic when the subject is Democrats backing off because people are protesting.

This is one of the good things coming out of this ... it show Goobernor Northman’s the sky is falling thing about how a state of emergency had to be declared because “these gun nuts were gonna make the streets run red with blood” was BS. Law abiding gun owners came, voice their opposition in a peaceful & orderly manner and return back to where there came from. He and his cronies (along with MSM and social media trolls) blew this event out of proportion with their blind stupidity.

... please don’t let this post jinx a the peace and orderly manner of this event so far ...
