2021 Bronco officially released

I forgot that I took a pic. Please, feel free to tell me if I'm being melodramatic with my assessment:

That thing does not scream "I'm cool guy that's gonna go off-roading, smoke a cigarette, drink whiskey like water, and slowly run from an entire brigade of police cars."

It politely says "excuse me, sir...can I merge over so I can depart the roadway into the Whole Foods parking lot?"

Oh wow, yeah that angle is not kind. Sort of like the Mustang, ok from the front but the back end screams soccer mum.

That looks like the “sport” model not the actual off road type.

I’ve seen a few on the road and in parking lots... I’m NOT impressed with what I've seen (Sports?). Maybe it’ll look better with the 35s...but I’m not seeing it for that price tag.

Signed,
Bleeds blue, Ford guy

Aren’t there two types of new Broncos? One is the Bronco sport which is on the escape platform (unibody) the other is on the same platform as the ranger (body on frame).

please correct me if I’m wrong

Looks like an overgrown Mini Cooper.

I will never pay over $15k for a vehicle let alone $40k plus.
I was going to say, I paid 5k for my jeep liberty which is $500 less than I just paid for my first zero mile motorcycle. It's getting ready to trip 200k miles. I'm excited!

I really don't understand how people are affording 350-400k homes and a couple 30k - 40k cars.

To me this is ford version of trying to bring back a cool name like the Bronco and stamping it on a new version of a explorer. This thing looks more like Bronco 2 status than original. Just like chevy has done now couple times with the blazer. Its just not the same ruggedness they want you to beleave it is.

Just listened to a Scotty Killmer video on the way to work this morning about an invitation he got to see the latest Ford Bronco. He blasted Ford for for inviting him while telling him that he wouldn't be able to even start the vehicle, much less test drive it "for insurance reasons". What's the point of inviting him when all anybody is allowed to do is look at it?

I can't open Youtube to see the video while at work, but I think this is the link:

They made two totally different looking vehicles and called them both Bronco.

Yes. The Bronco sports that have recently popped up on the roads (there are a ton around here already). Are more like a jeep compass or patroit or whatever crossover compared to a Wrangler.

Unibody crossover but folks get to tell everyone they have a "Jeep".

Same thing with the Bronco Sport. Unibody crossover but you get to say "hell yeah I drive a Bronco!". Without dealing with the expense and lack of comfort a body on frame vehicle that is a true wrangler/bronco.

Pretty intelligent marketing plan from ford on the sport imo.

The "real" Bronco isn't in production yet (or maybe just super rare) as it has been getting pushed back for over a year or more for whatever reason.

But it is a body on frame. Direct competitor for the Jeep Wrangler. I've seen plenty of pics and videos of them but have to with hold judgement until I see them (as I KNOW I will) em mass in my area on how they look.

Saw one this morning. First time I'd seen one in person. Kind of a wimpy looking little thing. Think I'd probably rather have a old beat-to-snot 4x4 Suzuki Samurai.

This is a TRUE story....Had a friend of mine buying a new vehicle.......When the salesman asked him how he wanted to finance it, my Pard said I'll just pay you in CASH, ain't No Way I could afford the Payments on that thing;)🙋‍♀️🤦‍♀️🏎️

Little? Huh, they have ended up looking way bigger than I anticipated lol.

There are three new fullsize broncos ( Not sports, those are everywhere now) I now see every few days around highlands. Plus a couple I've seen just once. All 4door. Plus all are different bluish gray, gray or silver shades for whatever reason. Makes it hard to really see the lines in passing.

I haven't decided if I like em or not yet. A lot more bloated looking than I thought. I do think the mirrors looking like they come off the cowl as one giant piece of plastic is off-putting.

The was a bright red one in my neighbors yard with hideous black with red trimmed squiggly spoked stock size wheels this weekend. But I was busy and didn't want to get sucked into bs'ing for an hour. It's gone now so I guess he didn't buy one.

So far it's a "meh" for me on looks alone.

I guess I haven’t seen a real one, yet. All the ones I’ve spotted were Sports…which I (incorrectly) assumed was a just a trim level. Hmm.

Yes Sir.....Ronnie Sue got in one at the local Ford Store....got out.....looked at me, the GM and the salesman.....immediate Stink Eye.
She’s looking at Fords already? Is the ash tray full on her King Ranch? 😂

Another in the wild spotting on 485. This one was the non-weenie Cooper version.

It looked much better. Still not sold on it—why release a new old model but water a version down so badly it hurts the brand as a whole?

This month's issue of Motor Trend is on SUV of the year....there were 24 entries....They RIPPED the new Bronco.....cheap inside...no power...bad ride...and on and on. Brought to market too soon...problems that need ironing out...

Which one? The weenie version or the real version? Both?

I can’t for the life of me figure out why Ford would release two versions of this under the same name. The weenie version should have been called something else entirely.

The big one should have 2 doors. Broncos have 2 doors and are all 4wd, no 2wd models.

I guess I can forgive going to V6 with turbos.

Should have called it the Bronco II
