To your first point, a person who goes in to business for themselves makes that decision, hopefully understanding that government regulations are part and parcel of running their business, the majority of people with genuine handicaps don’t choose them. To your second point, if as a society we can’t take care of each other in our society, then what is the purpose of the society to begin with?I've been staying out of the pissing match since it is obviously an emotional issue for you, but that meme is truly ignorant. Large corporations lobby for more regulations in many cases because they have the resources to comply while small and new business may not. This goes for financial regulations and ADA issues. Who has more lawyers and accountants, a Fortune 100 company or Chadmn? Who can more easily afford a special handicapped or Trannie bathroom at their locations, Walmart or the husband and wife that are trying to open a small retail store? Why do you think these big corporations support laws and regulations that cost them money?
And finally why is chadmn or any other individual burdened with a debt for life on the birth of a handicapped person? While it would be nice if everybody would help less fortunate people what makes it right to coerce people with the threat of gov't force to pay for others' misfortunes? Put more cruelly why should one man or family have to do with less because another human was born?
And not to pick on handicapped people per se, these truths go for pretty much all recipients of social welfare programs. And recipients of means-tested progams for that matter.

With a social contract you receive what was taken from others by force and are under no obligation to thank anyone.

No worries guys had a great convo with the wife last night.
Wife: why are you staring at your phone looking angry?
Me: a bunch of guys on the forum think that handicapped people don’t deserve protections under the law, and are complaining about the ADA.
Wife:....? Why do you care?
Me: they are wrong.
Wife: what are they going to do about it?
Me: I don’t suppose there is anything they can do about it.
Wife: so it’s a virtual circle jerk about the big bad government keeping them down that will accomplish absolutely nothing, again why do you care?
Me: I guess I don’t
Chadmn out it pretty eloquently, but I'd add that someone may start a business under one set of laws and regulations, succeed, and then have the regulations changed. In business things are no static for long. Sure a business owner should know what the environment is, but when the Excecutive branch can set regulations with no oversight to give certain companies or industries an advantage most business owners have limited options to deal with the changes.
Secondly, it is not society's job to take care of everyone. That's called Utopia and it is NEVER going to happen. And any help people receive that has beeen coerced or taken from others is immoral and wrong. Unfortunately we're all forced to carry some burden in life, and some are forced to carry more than others. Life is an unequal distribution of misery and happiness. Just enjoy the ride.
Freaking amazing. How have I not heard of him before.
Not to make this political but if this was any other sport he would be a media darling. He’s good looking, well spoken and a fighter.
Fair enough, thank you for the clarification.
