Average ammo prices for past 6 weeks seem to be going down

I just bought some 9mm for a project gun from freedom munitions. I found it cheaper elsewhere but it was websites I’ve never heard of. I don’t see it getting any lower that’s for sure.

Whenever I'm near my local academy. I always swing by and grab some 9mm if it's available

$18 for 50 rounds is alright 😌

Is this the "new normal" they keep talking about?

I haven't bought any ammo in over a year. Kept hoping prices would come down to what they were a few years ago. Looks like that might not happen.
Price is very very very perception sensitive. Trump slump was very real. You're not getting those prices under biden.

It won't get better either.
I tend to disagree. I believe we will get a brief period of relief. Stuff just isn't moving at these prices anymore, and with the possibility of R's taking some power back (not that they will do anything to help, but it will curb the fear) I think we will have some buying opportunity.

I'll be happy to admit I'm wrong, if it happens. However, long term, it isn't happening. Inflation is marching forward in a major way. Components have gone through the roof, even at the cheapest of sites. (When you can get them.) If we (anything other than Dims) have a total sweep in '22 and '24, then we might get a selloff like we had during the middle of the Trump 'residency. But, the dollar is falling and falling fast. Have you priced the actual increase of material goods lately? I don't see anything more than a small % decrease over the current plateau for the foreseeable future. IF that happens, I'll be the ant stockpiling. Same with things like rice, beans, and other long term holdings. No matter which way you look, the dollar is on the verge of falling off a cliff. If you don't see it, then I'll bow out and wish you a good day. :)

This weekend academy had their 9mm on sale 18.00 for 50 rounds or 369 for 1000 not quite pandemic prices but it is getting better.

Basically double vs the best deals of 2019 early 2020 for buying right off the shelf. Winchester NATO for $.18 a round

IF you hit a deal with rebates I was paying $219 for 2000 rounds. $.11 plus tax

We were also getting $.01 Hazmat and free shipping on the primers and powder you could eat.... LOL

I hope you are right.

What's the current best place to get 223/556 brass? I'm seeing PMC .223 @ $549.50/1000rds shipped and Wolf Gold M193 @ $267/500rds shipped.

Thanks. - Ended up getting 1k rds of PMC Bronze .223 from Bone Frog for $509 shipped...puke. I don't want to get too much at these prices; I still believe it will come down a fair bit. Gotta dollar cost average this stuff.

I think Bidenflation is going to keep the prices from going down much, if at all. Next year, you may well be wishing you had stocked up more. Ammo companies have already announced price increases for January. Some as high as 15%.

Hope I am wrong.

I was wondering if ammo companies had announced a price increase for next year and if the increase would take now that supply has gotten much better.

I get emails like this, put 2k in my cart and sit on it, my gut says yes but my wallet says that's still crazy...My plan was and has been to hold out until it's. 25 cpr. With inflation and the economy being on a full steam collision course, that may be unrealistic for a while longer or ever. Oh the agony.

..but there is a point where panic-buying and inflation collide. After all this red on 2 Nov, I think people are less fearful overall, which in itself should drop prices a bit...inflation is a different story. I guess we'll see.

I didn't want to, but I sold off an Aimpoint PRO to get this case. Can't complain too much when you sell for the same price you bought it for six years prior.

22 appears to have found the bottom. The others have barely eeked down for the past month but mostly appears to have found the bottom.

I had a feeling that the manufacturers would find a new sweet spot. And its more than we want, but its what we got.

If the price pattern continues, this will be it.

They will see people start to buy it more regularly at this price point, and not touch it much more unless something else stupid happens in this White House........and that could be tomorrow.

Well the supply cut a huge cut direct from Joe.

Nothing will change short of a rather pro gun shift politically

Was back in Dunhams today. Still very little ammo on the shelves. No single boxes of shotgun shells for target or small game shooting. They did have 10-box flats of Remington 8 shot game loads for $99.99, equal to $10.00 a box. Still too expensive for me, so I didn't buy any.
