Firearms confiscation storage trailers?

Then why do you ban drunk drivers? They have the right to drink and also the right to drive a vehicle and until they cause harm are their rights not being infringed upon.
I don't propose to ban alcohol. They have the right to drink. They also have the right to face the law if they are caught committing a crime while under the influence.
Just like I have the right to own an AR. I also must face the consequences if I commit crimes with my AR. That doesn't mean that people who don't commit crimes with their AR's can't have one. If someone robs a gas station with a double barrel shotgun and kills the clerk does that mean that we should then ban all double barrel shotguns? Who knows, you fudds could snap at any minute with one of those dangerous things?

Lots of good reading about my intents and concerns. I, like so many Fudds, lived in a time where firearms were a tool for hunting and home defense. And like most of my era was introduced to these AR’s as a new military only device used for killing humans; not ever to be issued to the general population in semi-auto form. Now here we are forty or so years later hearing talk about going to war amongst ourselves over the rights to this firearm. Guess why I don’t care one bit for your needs, I lived without them and figure on finishing my time on this earth without one. Anyone that truly feels the need for one should go down to the recruiting station and tell them they wish to have themselves a AR and leave the rest of us to live alone in peace. Oh, and if you do, thank you for your service.
You really, truly, don't get it.

Enjoy your stupidity while you can but just remember your time’s coming, that is if you can find a solution to your dilemma without going to war.

I don't see to well. Is that Bill Bloomberg over there?

You have more stories than a "Public Library."

Currently and politically it's about ALL of Our Rights, period.

So you and your Posse are being fitted for some new attire.

You folks going traditional or a little more contemporary?

All you dern whipper snappers and yer fancy plastic killin rifles! Aint never been meant fer nothin but killin folk! All yer need is you a shotgun fer varmints and mebbe a lil'ol single shot .22 to get them critters when dey a bit further out! Anythin' mor'n that aint what them foundin'fathers intended! Yall yooths dont need no high capacity Assault Riffles that shoot them little boolits that explode and kill people in other counties!

What fudds generally dont understand is that virtually no one, and especially no one here, is looking to "solve the countries problems" using an AR-15 or any other such "scary killer weapon" that causes them to spasm so. The firearm, at its core assists to ensure that when and if there is a meeting to discuss the future of the country that all concerned parties have a seat and none are prevented their voice through force.

Most Fudds, like OldNascar, have some blind adherence that civilians having access to "military style" firearms is something of a new concept that has only come along since the advent of the AR15. This shows how truly ignorant of firearms they really are. Since the dawn of the firearm it has not been uncommon for civilians to have the same, if not superior firearms to the military. Through history most armies operated on a principle of "What can we get the most of, that works well enough, for long enough". If you trace the service rifles issued to the US military since the dawn of the country, the civilian market had an exact duplicate, or even far superior options available. In truth, it wasnt until 1934 that the split between military and civilian capabilities began. And that, specifically, had to do with automatic capabilities.

So when someone says "You dont need no military weapons" it shows that they are speaking from a personally modified and influenced view of both the history of firearms as well as the history of the 2nd Amendment.

I....I....I...I...

You ever re-read what you post?

One thing us geezers know that seems lacking on you younger folks is a gun will buy you more trouble than you can fight your way out of.

Don't lump all of us geezers into the FudDemocrat group that you seem to enjoy anchoring.

Would you have a photo of Donnie Disco with that little short fat POS from NK in your back pocket by chance?

This is not about me.

This is about your Soft Selling election fraud to us and stating your own reasons for , just, "Blowing In The Wind."

Frankly IDK if you are a 14 year old transgender hermaphrodite pretending to be a Boomer that is proudly stating why you plan on siding with who ever wins or vice versa.

Your position is Clear, Crystal , being you will do anything to promote and save your way of life at the total expense of others.

Let me be Clear, you and your Posse are running a list of people to report back to your masters to curry favor.

Or, it's possible you are already on the payroll.

Either way I don't know if Harris wants to share the "Pickle" with you.

Enjoy

Excuse me...but that's a totally asinine statement if you're intending it to support your beliefs with respect to the topic of banning the AR-15.

The ban isn't against drinking alcohol, nor the possession of alcohol. The ban is against an ACT which is inherently dangerous to others (drunk driving), even though the act itself may or may not actually cause harm to another. (This is an example of a "malum prohibitum" law, by the way.)

What you've been advocating (banning of firearm(s)) is akin to the abolition of alcohol itself.

We already have laws governing irresponsible use of firearms. We cannot, for example, go around shooting firearms willy-nilly in cities and other populated areas (a proper analogy to your drinking and driving) because the act of doing so is inherently dangerous to others, regardless of whether anybody is injured or not.

I saw a trailer with four or five of these units on it today here in Stanly County. 12-2-20

I do wonder what they are up to.

Might I suggest to you freedom lovers to not feed this troll further. He might not fit the traditional definition of a troll, but anyone who wishes us dead, me anyway, and disparages the freedoms we enjoy with his level of contempt doesn’t deserve to be engaged in our discussions.

From now on, I'll address my comments to you, then!

Being a freedom lover as such, feel free to try the ignore function and see no more of my attempts at trolling.

Nah. I think you need a good prod with a sharp stick every once in a while, like you do everyone else here.

In the past several years I’ve had exactly two people on “ignore" here. One means well but I just can’t stand the stupid, the other one for being an abject asshole.

One of them recently got banned.
So I’m one for two.

I guess I’ll have to find a new category for you.

Maybe “enemy"?

The good Book says we should pray for our enemies. I try to. But it doesn’t say we have to like them.

Yes oh really, I suppose a few of them didnt care about rights or have any morals, but lowlifes exist in all groups. It's a shame really.
Yet there plenty of vets that return home never wishing to see another firearm and most are living their life without ever seeing the need for a AR in the country they look at as their sanctuary of freedom. Lucky for them there are folks here that stand ready to protect their freedoms.

Sure do appreciate your usage of the Good Book, certainly folks like myself would be wise to follow in your footsteps.

Lol, for a fellow that gives advice to ignore me you have a hard time practicing what you preach.
This is purely sport at this point.

You are my pinata tonight.

Enjoy the ride.

Ob so you're just an old shell shocked veteran that freaks at fireworks & wants all the bad guns taken away

Folks, I’m betting there will be no gun confiscation in this country, rather a rehash of the Brady Bill and at worse a bill placing high capacity magazine firearms in the same class as full autos. Pay your $200 and continue to play, simple as that. The selling point for the reclassification will be a person will have to be in possession of the registered weapon at all times stopping the crazy kids from getting their hands on the family lead sprayer. The owner goes to jail if the weapon is caught in someone else’s hands, kids included. It will also clean the streets of thugs hoseing down a neighborhood, several years in a fed pen makes one think twice. With that the 2A stands hard and fast and we can hopefully continue enjoying our day at the range.
Good FUDD

Interesting supposition considering that some of the most popular civilian cartridges and guns of all time came from the military as trickle down technology and surplus such as the 30-06, .308, 45-70, .45 Colt, .45ACP, .38Special, etc, etc. Civilian adoption of military arms and their improved technology is a natural progression. Otherwise, you'd be shooting a musket. Oh, wait...

Yeah, nobody ever repurposed Mausers, Enfields, Garands, M1 Carbines, 1903's, Mosin Nagants to civilian life. It's just the AR15's that earn the selective outrage of da Trollin' Fudd.

It's a ridiculous premise, but considering the source, altogether predictable.

In your dreams mister. Plenty on this forum agree with my thoughts, they just prefer to lay low from the sh_t slinging.

And here in lies the problem with our country.
Men are no longer men but children dressed in women’s clothing.
I wish to stay here as long as I can for my wife, my daughters and my grandchildren, for whom I’d gladly give my life.

BUT ...

There are truly things in life worth standing up for and freedom is at the top of the list.
I have relatives who signed the Declaration of Independence, who fought at the Alamo and my father was a decorated war hero in WWII.

What other path do I have?

And to you “its only tea” thinkers, your fear smells.

In actuality, a gun is your friend.
And if you learn anything as you get older, freedom is worth the price of the squeeze.

Whats awesome is that the more we prod the troll, the less of a facade of actually being at all supportive of the 2nd amendment he becomes.

He talks highly of the rights of the vet that comes home and never wants to see another firearm again, and how we should support his right. Which we do. No one is forcing him to have a firearm. No one is forcing him to go around them. We are trusting that he is still a capable enough human being to avoid situations he finds distasteful.

But he doesnt mention the millions of veterans who have spent time in hell holes all over the world and have seen first hand the evil that is wrought when "force" and the capacity for violence is concentrated in only the hands of oppressive or evil men. These veterans who have been to areas where warlords rule with cruelty and reckless abandon on those weaker than them. The veterans who have seen just how much damage a government that claims to be "for the people" can do to a population that is defenseless. These veterans have seen warlords, chieftans, presidents, dictators prey on the weak, and have vowed to never allow that to happen to themselves or their loved ones. Veterans who have seen where "only the military needs weapons of war" has led to mass devastation and loss of life due to the monopoly on violence held by an elite few who build empires on the mass graves of their people..."for their own good".

A veteran comes home, wants to lay down his teeth forever, I wish him God speed and I understand. That >is< his right. But it is not his right to force his worldview of pacifism on those who have also seen the beast, and still want to defend themselves from it.

I truly understand the “Fudd” mentality. (I hate that term)
My whole life has been an experiment in the outdoors. Had guns at an extremely young age.
But they were bolt guns and lever guns. My first semi auto was a Belgium made Browning Auto 5.
I had a few wheel guns but that was it.
I never needed anything else. Everything I needed to eat was easily taken care of by these few choices.
Then I got married had kids and realized that my choices limited my ability to take care of my added responsibilities. Have I ever really need these new choices, nope, hope I never do.
But they are now choices and I like choices.

So could I ride the rest of this merry go round we call life without a Glock or an AR or AK, most likely yes. But I actually like guns, all kinds of guns and optics (even if my favorite is still iron sights)

I you limit yourself in the area of choices you do yourself a disservice.

And if you think that your shortsightedness should be grafted to everyones brain stem, maybe its time to reconsider your self imposed stupidity.

I use my AR's exclusively for competition. Built them all for that purpose.
Same as my shotgun built up for competition.
That is their purpose. This clueless pretender can say they are for something else all he wants, but this is what they are for.

Semi-automatic rifles and pistols are the modern paradigm for firearms. For sport, hunting, self defense, fun, and competition. Doesn't matter what color you paint them: they can all be used as deadly weapons. Like any knife. Regardless of what it is designed for.

You can't use reason with people who lie, cling to the lie as if it is true , and ignore all proof to the contrary. They are beyond reason. As soon as they say things like "need" you know they are an epic mumbletard.
