Have you played any video games recently? If so, which?

Personally was playing video games since I was 3 years old, have always been something I enjoyed.

Not to mention how in the last few years, video games have become, in my opinion, the best form of media for overall storytelling/visuals/etc.

I recently replayed the most recent God of War and just beat Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order (recommend)

i'm a platformer. i got a switch.
i also play fallout 4 still because i like crafting guns and collecting crap.
I play mario run on my phone because i can do 2 minutes and be done. Well worth the $10 the full version cost me.

oh, and i just bought Nintendo's GAME AND WATCH. It has the original "ball" game, smb1, and smb2 (the japanese version later released in the usa as "lost levels"). If I had a 3d printer i'd make a frame and hang it on my wall just to use as a clock that i can sometimes play a game on.

Fallout/Elder Scrolls is one of my favorite series, good choice. The game and watch is a super interesting design, I’ve seen a bit about it

Thanks for the reminder, I’m starting a new game of Fallout: New Vegas now. Haven’t played it in years

I’ve been playing a lot of a game called Empyrion: Galactic Survival. Kinda like Minecraft, in space, with guns.

Fallout and elder scrolls are our favorites. i belong to the Appalachian Settlers Club on Fallout 76 and we often team up for the benefits, to handle boss quests, and share camps and things. Recently been playing Wasteland 3.

I play Call of Duty and Tony Hawk with my kids every now and then. I spent a lot of bored hours playing Fallout 4. I really enjoyed the storyline and taking it different directions on play throughs. Settlement building and the expansion packs kept it fun for a long time.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes on my phone. I can play for 10 minutes and put it away. I don't have time for hours-long sessions so I keep it small and simple.

What?
I must be old, I have no idea what all of this is! Dang.
Me too. Probably the last video game I played (unless Monty Python and the Holy Grail counts) was Castle Wolfenstein, and I gave it up after I gave myself such a bad case of motion sickness that I had to lie down on the floor until the room stopped spinning. 😨

We have a switch for the kids, I hadn’t really played any video games since I was a kid and we got the original NES for Christmas. My little bro was more of the gamer, he’s always had a console and once he was old enough to buy his own a gaming computer. That being said the kids did get me a switch game called Dead by Daylight (mature) that I enjoy playing.

I thought you were a Star Trek guy.

For the last year I've mostly been playing Fallout 76. It got off to a rough start, but over the last two years Bethesda has made some great improvements in the game.

Its a lot of fun. You get to build and customize guns, build a base/cabin, and hunt all sorts of irradiated creatures and monsters in West Virginia. If you liked Fallout 4, its quite similar.

I'm a big fan of Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4 as well. Outside of Fallout, my other favorites are the Bioshock games. And while its been a long time since I played, I used to play a ton of World of Tanks. I was a beta tester for that one, and an alpha tester for world of warships/warplanes.

If you liked New Vegas you would probably really like The Outer Limits, which was also made by Obsidian, which Beta-Test-Duh this side of cheated them out of the bonus payment they were supposed to get. It doesn't have quite the level of content some of the bigger games have like Fallout, but it more than makes up for it quality and game play. Of course Beta-Test-Dug has now been acquired by M$. There was some speculation (e.g. See Innov Survivalist on YouTube who has a TON of videos on 76) that they were on the financial ropes with how they handled 76.

I tend to go back to old games like the Command & Conquer series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and the Silent Hill Series and Homeworld.

I did play through Ion Fury not too long ago, and it is by far one of the best FPS's I've seen in a long time.

“Get out of here stalker!!”

STALKER is one of my favorite series!! I’ve played every one (yes, even Call of Pripyat) lol. I modded the hell out of a couple play throughs too. Played a BUNCH of Dead Air and other mods as well, great games

I played Cold War over the weekend and enjoyed it. I also play a decent amount of CSGO but I'm pretty bad at it. I enjoy having CSGO tournaments on for background noise. There's one live now:

I own literally hundreds of PS2, Xbox360, and Xbox One games, but can never find large enough blocks of contiguous time blocks to enjoy story-based games.

Bioshock is a great series, played them all. Okay so with 76, I played it when It first released, preordered and all. My take on it wasn’t... the best as I’m sure you understand.

With the wastelander edition, the addition of NPCs, and overall bug fixes I’ve heard it’s so much better. I’ll give it another try when I get home, I wanted to like it so much because Fallouts my baby

Cold War looks fun, I’ll keep probably buy it for the story when I’m able to get the newest-Gen consoles.

Not even looking for consoles right now, it’ll be the same as 2006 with the PS3, 4, etc. happens every 6-8 years in November when a new console is released. I’ll wait until after the holidays when they start coming back in stock

Also Command & Conquer is one of my first memories with PC gaming, they have a place in my heart

I end up replaying SOC the most. I tried Misery for COP, but it's aptly named. L.U.R.K. was ok, but I didn't like how much content it removed.
Stalker Complete is the mod I settled on after trying several.
Agree with you there, SOC was the one I played the most. I’ve heard good things about Complete. My PC shit out a few months ago and I just haven’t had the time/money to build a new one. I’ve been meaning to and eventually will because I miss building PCs

My son (30) just spent about 2k on a gaming computer. I will say this. We he was a kid we bought him the newest Nintendo out if the time for Christmas. It’s was when DK jr came out. 2 Diffent time when he wasn’t going to be there for a few hours I unwrapped it and played it:)

My pops was the same way

Last Day on Earth : Survival
zombie based resource / shooter

i play it on my iPad. It’s fun.

I've been playing DeusEx. It's old but I enjoy it. I did a single run through TLOU2 when it released this summer. I don't play much, and I'm not very good at it, but it's a decent time waster when I'm on calls all day that don't concern me.

My stepson, who, I think, took secret delight in having me destroyed in Dark Souls III (apparently not the game to learn use of a controller on, especially at ~ 60 YoA) recommended Jedi Fallen Order.

I think its called children that have never grown up. But I guess I could be wrong.
A $160 billion a year industry is more than “children that have never grown up”

But hey, what do I know, I’m not the asshole bashing on others hobbies that has absolutely nothing to do with them.

Fudds really do exist in every community

Waiting for the Brotherhood of Steel to join Fallout 76 then I'll be playing it again. It's much improved lately if you've never tried it. PM me if you're on the PC and I'll give you some twinkage.
