I want a pretty gun

While it's not pretty, it's definitely not ugly either lol. Had to do some switching around with the wife's gun, so I picked this guy up. Feels great, trigger is sweet! Needs some range time now...

IMHO rails and the lights people put on pistols are over rated. I personally prefer a light in one hand and a pistol in the other. There are several holds which allow you to shoot with a normal positive grip. You then also have the freedom to move the light where you want without pointing your pistol in the same direction. I also find that guns without rails ride better in holsters.

So I nominate the BHP as a pretty gun that checks all the boxes but the rail.

No such thing to me as a pretty gun with a rail. Other folks can like them...glad I don't have to!

EAA Witness Match. Out of the box amazing. Better than a CZ. And it has a rail lug.

That's a CZ Custom gun with a bushing. I imagine the trigger and accuracy are pretty hard to beat!

Nice is that yours or did you just pull the pic off of Ford's Refinishing site? That is their master blue if I am not mistaken. I am considering having this gun reblued by them in that finish that is why I recognized the pic.

Not mine, pulled it off of the site, have a model 28 with them now for refinishing. I am a big fan of their work.

They do great work are you going with a master blue or one of their other levels? I love the look of the master blue but I think it it too much for a working gun. I worry that the mirror finish will show every imperfection as the gun gets used and wears. I was considering the Fords vs the Master blue. Have they done work for you in the past?

Going with the master blue, old revolver is more of a barbecue gun than an edc, have plenty of other pistols for that role. My gunsmith decided to retire halfway through the refinish so I had to find someone to finish the project. Someone on here recommended fords and I was really impressed with the work on the website. This is the first gun I have had them do.

They have a fantastic rep for their work. I have seen a few pieces in the master blue but they were always BBQ guns. Post pics when you get it back!
