If you could only have one handgun, what would it be?

Title says it all huh? I have questions. Under what conditions am I allowed just one gun? Is this a .gov imposed restriction? Am I just able to afford the one? Am I homeless and one is all I would carry? Have I decided to be 'the man with one gun' and master it to the exclusion of all others? What happened to the rest of them? You're gonna need a longer title if it "says it all".

Impossible to answer for me. I would have to say a full size from the Canik METE line. This subject is like answering if you could only own one tool what would it be šŸ¤£

Iā€™m leaning revolver .357 mag. My ruger gp100 has served me well. But I really like my beretta m9a4. Iā€™ll go with the beretta.

LMAO I am guessing the hammer is for the guy that just likes to beat things into submission and the pliers for the guy that takes them apart one piece at a time. Some of these answers are really good and go to prove a point..if it functions dependable enough to bet your life on it and you can hit what you shoot at then its a good weapon. Its better to hit with a HiPoint than to miss with a Wilson Combat. If my bad back were not an issue it would be my 1911 Govt 45acp with Wilson mags but thats a conceal carry brick.

Duh, a 10mm socket, šŸ˜

I could do either my Wilson Beretta 92 or my VP9. Beretta is a touch better accuracy and the HK is lighter to carry all day.
The 92 has a .22 conversion as well so maybe that's the better one.

G23

If you can play the ā€œextra barrel doesnā€™t violate the rulesā€ game, Iā€™d add a 40-9 conversion barrel. But Iā€™ve carried a G23 for almost 15 years, so Iā€™m fine without the 2nd barrel.
