Is Springfield Armory Bringing Back the Browning Hi Power

I generally like Hilton Yam but some of his info in the video seem incorrect.

-I found it odd that Hilton Yam considers the BHP an American gun. It clearly is not. The US really has traditionally been a secondary market for the FN BHP.
-He talked about the hump of the feed ramp of the barrel was corrected in the MKIIs. When he is talking about it he is hold a MKIII. So the statement does not really apply. The older C or T series often shoot modern JHPs just fine. It is also an easy fix.
-He does not seem to know that the MecGar is 15 round mag has been around for 20+ years.
-I know it is not his focus but he seems a little out of his comfort zone a bit in this video.

I agree with him that other variants are only going to come if the gun sells really well. I also agree that the BHP does not have far reaching appeal like a Glock. It has never had the level of appeal the 1911 has as a platform or in terms of after market support. This is why I think it is sales are going to slow after 6-12 months. One interesting point was that the pistol has been in development for 2 years. Finally it seemed clear to me he has not see the SA P35 pistol in person.

Well I found a dealer who was accepting no cash down for their waitlist. They are getting 12+ and I am #7 of their list. They are charging me $649 with no CC surcharge and then shipping to my FFL. They are not sure when they will come it. For me this is most likely going to be a catch and release. I want to see one in person. Put some rounds down range and then check it for parts compatibility. Unless it really blows me away I am going to put it back up for sale for what I have in it.
