Moore county, attack on power grid.

Ridiculous. Is it necessary to go 4 years to convict on this incident and have one harsh sentencing to change the possibilities of this happening again? You can commit murder in this nation and be out in less than 15 years. Crime sentencing is a national disaster, and in some black communities seen as a badge of street cred.

When perpetrators weigh the results of committing crimes they are not researching sentencing for the act. They base it on a immediate feelings and if they can live with what is the negative side. Declining years of imprisonment conditions criminals to take that chance. They see family and friends who were felons back on the streets and that conditions society to think crime just might pay afterall.
I know, but how do you know that this played any part in this act? It seems like you’re just ranting about something unrelated. This act could have been done by a disgruntled employee, by some dumbass in the woods, by a nutty extremist group, but I don’t think it’s likely the act of some urban thug that’s been repeatedly in and out of prison.

My response is not about WHO did this but lack of fear from the justice system. But twist it however you wish.

your comments are the first I have heard about the attackers state of mind. Has there been a new development I missed?

So you’re saying wasn’t relevant, that’s fine. Pretty sure I’m not the one twisting here.

The boogaloo movement... an internet meme.

This is just as funny as the FBI classifying "The Juggalo Family" as a street gang. 🤣
Nah, the Juggalo Family is currently more dangerous than the Boogaloo Boys.

Been almost 72 hours or 3 days since a comment here. Local WRAL rag website is useless. Nothing new….regurgitate the old. When you have to “advertise“ a $75K taxfree, I think, bounty for ratting….either nobody talkin’ or they know better or it was either well planned or way too easy. This ain’t NCIS where they run a bullet and tell you the exact brand and sometimes SN of a weapon.

BUT maybe this is the lull before the bodacious Presser that ORC and Brandon will cohost…..

Seriously….it may take a while…..been over a month and all the folks in Moscow, ID know is “BOLO” for white Elantra and any male dude with a big K-Bar Rambo style knife,,..

Just so you know

So make sure you smile while eating your neighbors

Interesting....NO COMMENTS.

I am NOT OD'ing on this....but there seems to be a "unofficial" blackout of information. I get a freebie Stock Market newsletter every morning. One of the comments about "Utilities" and such commented on the concerns by the industry and the Government about the recent number of vandal attacks.....some flinging big pieces of log chain and Molotov Cocktails and such....as well as firearms.

There was a quote from the Moore County County Chairman (Commissioners?) or maybe a misunderstanding and he was the Country MANAGER. His quote said this was a well planned attack by someone with specific "insider" knowledge as the damage was done so that there was a slow drain of the transformers so that the attack was not discovered until hours after it was committed.

The article went on to say that the installations were about 75% of the landmass of a football field....so this was a biggie, relatively speaking....based on the ones that I see in the RTP area. The other thing, which I know from working for a major transformer supplier is that the "Railroad Car" sized units are all custom built and those big ones require several months....up to 2 years....to be manufactured....

Just a comment.....that maybe there is a lot going on....or else it is a dead end wall. There are still a few "Pop up stories" reminding folks that they can win the lottery by snitching....

WRAL reported that FBI has issued or made “has” sealed searc warrants for all pings around the cell towers close by. I guess we see if all the NCIS and TV TECHNO “stuff” really works. One would have thought someone was smart enough to use muddied up plates and left their phone at home. Mayb3 they shot a selfie video. Don’t take offense or read anything into my comment other than what WRAL is reporting.

I guess we see….
I bet the idiots who are responsible used FRS radios.

I have zero idea of where the substations are located. Even less the population around either. But there has not been a single mention of anyone hearing gunshots that night. Could they have used a silencer with subsonic rounds if that is the case? Usually lots of people come forward about hearing shots when a crime is committed.

Isn’t the current theory still 1 shooter?

This longer it goes without ID'ing a person of interest, like a fired or disgruntled employee or even drunk bubba's, the more I'm concerned it's bigger than they're letting on. As the guy in the vid implies, $75,000 will make some turn in their relatives.

News article about other attacks on the west coast on Christmas Day. Seems like method of attack was different, and maybe smaller-scale facilities?
I don’t understand the point in causing the power outages - what does someone gain from doing this? Unless the smaller instances (not Moore county) are people trying to steal copper to sell.

“TACOMA, Wash. -- Vandalism at three power substations in western Washington early Sunday initially cut power to about 14,000 utility customers, the Pierce County Sheriff's Office said.”
“In all three cases, the sheriff's office says someone forced their way into the fenced area surrounding the substations and damaged equipment to cause a power outage.”

I have no idea why some one would do this. Probably for the same reason people think its a good idea to burn down a CVS.

If I understood the motivation, I would probably be worried.

Perhaps. However most of the people I hear talk about anarchy don't really want to live in it. They just want to cause it. I can't understand it.
That is because they are morons and idiots. I know this will never happen, BUT if folks like us, and the news media would just totally ignore these types of people, and the other morons you see on the NEWS, I bet most of them would sorta disappear. I believe they seek attention.

Please stand by, the media will be around shortly to tell you what to think and feel.

If your media rep does not contact you before you need to express an opinion, feel free to use "evil republicans", "MAGA" or "racists" as those are always acceptable.
