Motorcycle love

I am learning the ways of the force on the Road King with no nav, although I did put the phone on the bars with google maps to get down 16 from Wilkesboro into Maiden to Mean City Cycles earlier this week.

He isn't...If he is @ the camp out this weekend I'll chat him up about the cop seat.
I appreciate it. I did 100 miles on it today, and it is improved. I think it’s probably as good as it’s going to get. I am however, looking forward to how the Glide seat does once MCC finishes with it.

He does alot of seats with the gel from saddlemen....the chopper seat he did for the giveaway bike this weekend has it.

After reading owner/rider reviews on the gel in Saddlemen seats, I got kind of spooked last year. That gel cooks in the sun when the bike is parked and doesn’t cool off very easily.

I always have a small towel I toss over it when parked on hot days...

Motorcycle parking at work is whatever gravel spot I grab. I am usually first person in complex to get there. its a small.complex. I have parked in the same spot every morning. And never seen another bike there.

Mike tells you right,, the gell absorbs heat like crazy and will roast your cookies for a really long time and I mean like really painfull long time. I perfer the Alaskan sheepskin seat covers for comfort and to help make up for a badly fitting seat. Cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter.

I did the Alaskan sheepskin too a couple of years ago.

Harley makes a “Circulator” seat cushion that is my preference now.

I have one of those, seems to work fairly well.

I have read so many times that if your seat is covered in vinyl your butt will sweat. But real leather "breathes". Apparently my ass can't tell the difference, I couldn't feel the breeze blowing from the leather.

Dang, that new Gold Wing is not bad. If I were looking for a big tourer, I'd consider it. But damn, I'd hate to ride a bike that I'd need to find a football team to pick it up if I dropped it
We were looking at one pretty seriously until @fieldgrade entered the scene......

Heck, I was looking at them too (again) after you bought the Road Pig, but I called Sanford Honda on your recommendation and had a long talk with that guy you recommended.

He’s been selling Wings forever for that dealership. But he’s a big ole boy, and guess what he’s been riding all these years.

Good dude.

Looks like I may want to pack the heated jacket liner for a couple early mornings. Not bad for you hard core guys but I'm a fair weather rider 🤣

I sat in the garage hoping we’d get some rain. Finally.
Nothing but a drizzle.

Got bored and undid about a third of what I’ve done to the bike and redid it, more to my satisfaction.

Then the bike wouldn’t crank.

Helps if you plug in ALL the little connectors.

I've been doing some work on the Diavel while I wait for the replacement title.

The OEM windscreen was missing, but I don't want a screen anyway. So, I replaced the upper bar clamp that was drilled for the screen with a NOS unit that isn't drilled for a screen mount.

I got new tires. Man... That 240/45-17 is one FAT tire! The guys at Cycle Gear said they can't even change it because their tire changer can't do anything wider than a 210. Luckily, the guys at Full Throttle Motorsports in Lowell said it's no problem.

I took off the boy racer rearsets that some PO put on the bike and went back to the OEM pegs. I just have to get new shifter and brake linkages.

I replace the OEM metal headlight fairing with a carbon fiber one. I really did it for looks, the the weight difference is amazing! I'm going to polish it a bit to match the OEM finish better. Then I'm going to add some red to match the stripes on the tank.

Can I sleep in your garage? Having bought March 1st...wife be on my ass lol
My best friend bought a new Honda CB 750 when we were in high school and couldn’t take it home for months. Afraid of what his dad would say. Kept it at a friend's house.

Left the campout yesterday evening...most of the vendors rolled out after the last raffle was completed. The drag race area started to heat up...20 ft from my tent setup...that combined with the rain forecast to move in early this morning helped sway my decision.

I did that with a 1954 Panhead, you know the friend, Dale C.

.
Did Dale end up with that bike around winter of ‘74-75? I thought he acquired a, I want to say, ‘55 pan that winter.

I traded it to a mutual friend for his 1969 Firebird, which was in a total loss crash a few months later, driven by my dad because his truck was in the body shop as the result of a crash.

Right after the trade the motorcycle was sold to somebody from Myrtle Beach.

For those of you that have nothing left to spend your money on.....

Is that for real?
That came from a Harley forum I inhabit. We’re too stupid to photo shop something like that.
