A friend who lives by the old Denver Defense location, drove by today and saw a sign for PSA. Apparently it’s a new location for them, they will continue to operate the range, and the sign said something about construction so maybe they’re expanding as well.

Im not positive that they’re open but there were a handful of people there today.

Consider the drama surrounding Denver Defense, I’m glad to see PSA take over this location and hopefully make something great out of it.

3 minutes from me. Yyyaaaa

PSA bought the old Denver Defense. They will operate the range and are expanding the retail area as well as adding storage.
They are planning to be open for a short time
Before closing again to start construction.

So buy online and they ship to store without a transfer fee?
That would be awesome but they wouldn’t let me pick up an online order in Columbia, at their main location, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on being able to do anything online-to-store. Granted this was probably 5yr ago.

I just posted a question in their Industry Forum on ARF.

They do transfer stuff to stores, just not sure what the details are.

I do know they won't let you buy parts, uppers, ammo type stuff online and pick up in store

No answer on the transfer question, but somebody that follows them on social media said:

Chad Wylie confirmed it on one of the PSA Facebook pages, apparently opened today.

PSA am good!!!!! I hope I live to see a store in Murder Beach....lotsa abandoned store fronts available.....
Any super expensive ranges that recently failed and available for a steep discount? Pretty sure that’s the ticket.

They weren't as of 1130 this morning

TSA is taken...but...THSA?

Back when they had the S&W Shield and 3 stripped lower special, I picked mine up in Columbia.
I asked about the specials and they said they were not set up to do that from the stores, the specials had to come from their warehouses.

Has PSA been charging NC sales tax? Well, they will be now! 😥
Last order I placed was May, and they charged tax. I think they’ve done it for awhile.

From the Denver Town Talk Facebook page-

The purchase of Denver Defense happened very quickly.
I’ll do my best to answer some of your questions.
I don’t know if I will be working there . I hope to. I don’t know if the other staff will be working or not.
They will be open briefly and then close for construction. They have big plans to expand the retail space and add more storage.
I have met many of the management people and I’m very impressed. They are a well run group and expect to be in Denver for the long run.
I know nothing about fees and memberships at this time.
Yes they will be doing CCH and HR218 classes. Hopefully we will do an HR 218 in January.
I’ll provide updates as I get them. They will be putting up a PSA Facebook page soon.
For the moment that’s pretty much what I know.
As a citizen of Lincoln County I’m excited about the range opening and being available.
As a Commisioner I’m happy that the building is open and will be providing jobs and sales tax revenue .

This is great news. The range is 1st class with a separate room 6 station 50 yard rifle section. Given the length of time of closure I’m sure the got it very cheap from the bank. I really enjoyed it before the closure.

MBISR is long defunct
WAY too small...My Pard Ted Gragg owned and operated in 3 different locations that same business. Conway, Murder Beach, Waccamaw Pottery and back to Murder Beach. Went from 10 lanes to 2 after a suicide there. Then, being even older than ME he retired. That store was under water as much as it was operational.
Gander Mountain out on 501 had Lotsa room to grow. I have spoken to PSA about this and they, like most, don't relish the idea of having to work around Horry Code Department.
The other 3 indoor ranges have been open since 1998 to 2010.

Another friend of mine who lives in denver, just 2min away, told me that the store is only open for a week then closed for 2mo.

When I was working in Columbia, I would place online orders and have the order shipped to the store that was off of I-77 and Farrow Rd. I would get a note saying it was ready to pick up and would swing by on my way home. Never bought any firearms at the store, but picked up parts and ammo, many times.

Just 5 minutes or so away for me...

Glad it's back on track to having an open range in Denver.

I haven’t seen Ted in a long time. How are he and Connie doing?
