New Palmetto State Armory Location in Denver NC

Denver Defense range had enough trouble getting range customers. With limited ammo its going to get worse.
They didn’t have very good prices though. PSA’s constant deals should create enough foot traffic to make it work. That area is only growing, it says a lot that DD couldn’t make it work IMO.

Too many owners with different ideas. Their building and equipment cost alone had to be incredible.

PSA in Murder Beach will KILL IT!!!!!!
Yep, I told them shortly after they opened, when they still had only 1 location in Cola, that they needed a location near MB, even if they had done off 501 (main route in and out) but across the county line in Marion, it would boom.

I’ve went by the old Denver Defense the last couple weeks. Haven’t seen any construction or activity at any time. Nothing looks of change. I’m wondering if they have put construction on hold. Never even seen a vehicle there.

There was a question about job openings in the ARF thread...here’s the answer:

Please take a look in the following two spots this week and next. You will see the job postings listed in both areas.

1. https://www.facebook.com/psalakenorman

2. This is for those of you who do not have Facebook. PSA/JJE Job Openings

Thank you,

Josiah

Any updates on opening the store?

I asked on ARF last night. Got this reply today:

They will be upside down with variable cost in this market of covid, lack of ammo, employee shortage, and stocking issues. I hope they open in June but I would be surprised.

Saw my first TV commercial for them yesterday. Didn't mention the new location but if they're trying to spread the brand name locally I'd think that's progress.

I've always wished they could make it both states and name Carolina Armory Group. CAG has a nice ring to it.
CAG once was a company that made VERY nice 1911s, very recently....And then vanished.

Hate to bump a thread thats this old but it brought back not so good memories.

Posted a thread about the MB store. Saw the sign last week. Nice heavy concrete building. Maybe they can let the heavy artillery guys go BIG BANG…

I haven’t seen Ted in a long time. How are he and Connie doing?
I chatted with him last week, they are doing good. I bought 5 acres of land right next door to him, If the lumber prices ever come down I will build a house there and Ted and Connie would be my next door neighbors. I worked as a Part Timer at Teds for 18yrs.

I thought they were gonna put a PSA in the old Sun New building. They had a sign up several months ago, ain't been up that way in awhile.
They are. Signs still there. Think they’re shooting (see what I did there) for a first quarter 2022 opening

Signs up. Yes, that is the old news rag building. No evidence of any demo or remodeling…as of a week ago.

I heard rumors the Denver store is now open.

They may have opened after I was by there at 1pm. But the lot was empty and the door was locked. I tried
I saw some guys saying the store is nice but the prices weren’t.

I may go swing by tomorrow just for the heck of it, especially if it's raining all day like the forecast is showing right now.

Years back when I stopped in Columbia on a trip heading down to the Florida panhandle and found out their website prices and store prices were not always the same … and the store WOULD NOT honor the web prices. That was also when I learned you can buy an AR all day long out of state but can’t buy a stripped lower and just walk out of the store with it cause of idiot ATF BS “you can build it as a pistol” .

It is open. Just left. Ammo is outrageous but everything else is very similar in price to their online store.

Was also told by the manager that they will honor the online price as long as it's the same sku
Do they have AR buffer tubes and stocks in stock?
How about cloth AR cases?

I did mention this to the manager I spoke with about the price matching. He said every store was different with that policy.

Awesome!! Just a few miles from the house. I will try and stop by today and take a look.
