Ok, this is it.....

Beretta replace my 21a Inox pistol, they sent the replacement directly to my home and a letter followed stating that s/n xxxxx replaced s/n yyyyy.
Edit: Depends on where you live and what the manufacturer policies are when sending replacement firearms.

Years ago (several versions of this forum back in time) I had a parkerized RIA 1911 Super .38. It needed help. “1911 Tuner”. Checked it out and said it was way out of specs. He documented the specs as they were and as they should be.

Gun store I had purchased it from sent it back to RIA. Johnny’s spec info was in the box with the pistol. My name address and phone number was also in the box.

Within a few days I received a call from RIA. The guy on the phone told me they did not have any parkerized ones in stock. Asked if I would take a NIB nickel one instead.

I said Yes. Few days later FedEx delivered it to my front porch when I was not home. No signature required. No new dealings with a FFL. Different serial number. Bright and shiny.

The story continues to this day and hopefully beyond.
