REV 45
Form 1 submitted: 03 Jan 17
Check cashed:

2 in jail. I'm hoping the 1st one will get out in the next 60 days or so.

I'm confused? Those would both be F4s, right?

And what SiCo 22? They have at least three...
Sid was used so ss did all the paperwork.

First time putting in for a stamp, suppressor. Submitted 2 October, check cashed 9 October, now the wait. Working on a second stamp, just need to get the paper work in. So longgggg wait ahead for me.

Sure do. I just found you guys here today. I will get some pictures up tomorrow. Still debating on if I want to just screw on a A2 birdcage as a thread protector and use Omega or one of my rimfire suppressors on this one or to put a ASR mount on for QDing Omega. I had a ASR flash hider set aside for it but it ended up getting put on a Bren 805 during that long wait for this stamp.

I know how I'd vote...

...and what item would that be?

That would be a Griffin Optimus. I figured it would be a good starter piece. I now need to barrel up the appropriate hand guns.

Anyone have any experience with these firing 5.56 through a 16" barrel vs .223? How much louder (perceived) is the 5.56?

Sounds the same to me. All I hear is the sonic crack. I've tried with a few different cans but gave up once I realized I can't hear the difference. cwathan

Agreed. Of the three sounds you get when you pull the trigger, two are pretty much identical between 5.56 and .223 ammo. The mechanical noise of the host isn't going to change, and the sonic crack is basically the same. That leaves you with the hot gas hitting the atmosphere noise, which is what the suppressor is affecting.

I always just buy whatever is the better deal at the time.

Little known fact: Applying for a stamp causes the doppler effect. The closer you get to your due date, the slower time moves. :)

I'm currently waiting for Scott to call with good news on my 5th stamp, a Ruger .22 can bought mid-June.

Did you say mid-june? I have one where the check was cashed June 1st.

Scott at THSF emailed on Tue and said my stamp is in!! It was a F4 trust. I ordered it around the 5-6th of May so I figure it went after that. When I get the stamp in hand I'll update this post. The can is a Rugged Obsidian that's going on to an AR pistol in 45acp I just got done assembling.

Bought 5/5/16 and sent in.
Stamp approved 1/13/17
Arrived at THSF 2/4/17

I have to give Scott an "at a boy" I had several questions between the can purchase itself (previous 2 were from NCS), wondering what stamps were currently coming back, and other little questions as I was building the pistol and he was fast to respond and very helpful. Would buy from him again.

Articles being posted that suppressor sales way down as people "waiting for HPA" to pass which they assume will happen. With sales way down - can we assume shorter wait times?

I haven't bought a can since last summer, so I haven't experienced the extra hoops yet... but I was thinking of getting another one...

Maybe, at some point.

For now, it's still getting worse because they haven't gotten to 7/13/16 forms. That's when the dropoff occurred. Once they get to those, it could speed up. Or, they could cut back on hours/OT, return loaned in examiners to other departments, etc.

I think "assume will happen" is a stretch, especially in the short term...

I foolishly waited until the end to try to do an SBR online before the change last year and it was unusably slow and then it was shut down completely a couple of days early. Bummed about that still.

I have a Form 4 trust that went in at the end of February. By the looks of the dates you guys are getting back. Mine is way over due.So last week I called the vendor about it. He called BATFE and was told it was approved on Dec.1st.Nothing in the mail yet. He requested a certified copy, said he can do that after 4 weeks. So--- waiting----patiently.
