A red ‘67 Cougar is the bomb. Those Mercury Cougars are like my all time favorite cars. When I was younger I liked them better than Mustangs. The late 60's Cougars were great looking cars.

The Cougars had the 1-2-3 turn signals and I thought that was the coolest thing.A red ‘67 Cougar is the bomb.
My all time bucket list car.My dad bought a 1957 Bel Air, his first new car. It was like this one, of course, without the rally wheels.

Good trade! 😁
I have a special place in my heart (and at least one reserved in the garage) for the old in-line 6’s.Not nearly as nice as this one

My first car. 72 F100. 240 I-6, 3 on the tree. Paid $300 for it in 1982.
That thing was a gutless wonder. 240 with a single barrel carb. Topped out at around 70I have a special place in my heart (and at least one reserved in the garage) for the old in-line 6’s.
Mine was in an ‘86 bronco. 300 inline 6 Offenhauser 4BBL intake with quadrajet, full length headers, a 3 angle valve job and Chevy 1.7 rocker arms off a 250 inline…all that backed up by a c6 transmission. I think I might have hit 80 once downhill.Best truck I ever owned was the 79 F-150. 300 I-6 4 speed. Paid $850 in 1996 and drove it for 7 years. Sold it for $500 because I couldn't get 3 car seats in it.
It was a huge POS and wasn't safe to drive but it ran and the tires turned
Nah…I mean look at the 93-95 RX7…sure the engine was a small tactical nuke waiting to go off especially if one were to try to turn the boost up, but look at it…I’m not kicking it out of the garage, especially since the stock engine can be significantly improved by the aftermarket, or LS swapped as you preferStyle went away when chrome bumpers went away.

My trusty '64 Dodge when I was in college. Slant six, pushbutton auto; dead reliable and comfortable, if not exactly beautiful. I bought it for $200 and sold it for $200 when a cab driver asked me if I'd sell it. If I ever spent a nickel on maintenance I can't remember it.I have a special place in my heart (and at least one reserved in the garage) for the old in-line 6’s.
You drove that regularly on 16, between Marion VA and Tazewell VA.My trusty '64 Dodge when I was in college. Slant six, pushbutton auto; dead reliable and comfortable, if not exactly beautiful. I did, but also made that trip with a ‘64 Galaxie 390 hardtop (three on the tree) which I drove off a mountain in TN, a worn-out 1960 T-bird (of which the less said, the better, but it did strand me once in Wytheville where I had some time to look around), and a ‘66 Morris Mini Cooper, which was great fun on 16 but otherwise like being in a metal trash can in a severe hailstorm. You drove that regularly on 16, between Marion VA and Tazewell VA.
Didn’t you.
