The two new company cars I was in between ‘85-‘89 were K cars, and while exceedingly boring, proved to be more reliable than the two new Buicks they “issued” me between ‘81-‘84.

I should qualify, we turned in company leased vehicles at 55,000 miles in the ‘80’s, which was 2/3rds worn out back then.

There was one young sales guy in the company I heard about whose dad was some sort of manager, but the kid got jammed up for changing wheels/tires on the weekends and racing his company car, on the track.
 
1989 got a '85 Omni hatchback used with 75k, 2.2 engine apart, dude did not put Prestone in it. $400 towed to my home. Put used cylinder head on it with new timing belt, block sealer and drove it until the time for the third clutch job and cv joints worn out in 1999 285K.😀. I do al my own work.

Buddy of mine's finishing up a '67 Mercury Comet with a 557 BBF. Can't wait to go for a cruise in it.

I'd rock an old Lincoln in a heartbeat.

I saw a GLHS spank a Maserati at an autocross in Wilmington in the mid '80s.
Maserati owner came over and had a long talk with the GLHS owner checking it out.

Keeping in mind that even when it was new, the mustang 5.0 had the same hp but much more weight.
Yeah, it was fast. Really fast [for the time]

Funny how things change. I think my car (MR2 is quick), but hell a stock altima or something today has more hp lol

I’m looking at Morgans, and not the new ones. Maybe a roadster, maybe a plus 8. Never been crazy about the American muscle car.
