So PSA is making a Glock clone starting at $299 (DAGR/Dagger)

Finally ran by to pick mine up. I really like it overall. Grip feels great. I'm not a fan of the trigger right now. The face of the trigger feels nice, it's just very gritty feeling on the pull with a good bit of take up and no clean break point. I'll shoot it some as is this weekend and then decide if anything needs to be done. Pictured with the Glock standard, 2nd gen 19.

Also, never had this happen. Chamber flag that came with it dropped inside when I got home to play with it. It was wedged pretty good holding the slide open. Took me a few to get it out without pinching my fingures.

I removed my trigger components, got out my Flitz polish and my dremel with a buffing wheel, and polished up all the mating surfaces. It made a huge difference. All the grittiness is gone and the takeup is much smoother now.

Most likely updating website. Earlier today they had internal spare parts listed for purchase.

It's back. Lots of parts are there now, too.
Happens all the time around the “PSA stocking hour” for sought after products! 🤣 Pages wouldn’t fully load or only load partial items (the Daggr page always seemed to load those gun bags with none of the guns). A few refreshes and things would show back up...if you were lucky, in stock for just long enough to buy it.

They're all out of stock now, but they do have 2 pages of stuff listed now (that you can't buy). Progress?

Though it doesn’t feel like it, I think I can technically be called progress. The daggers are starting to get released almost everyday, they still sell out very quickly. 4pm used to be the magic time but I got an alert the all black was in stock today at 9:44am. I already have a black one holding out for a FDE or Green

I have a Nerd SLICC IWB holster for the Dagger available, if anyone is interested.

I picked up my second Dagger in OD green. Looks a lot better in person than on website. They are becoming available more often and different times than the 4pm drop. You can get notifications via Discord App.

I saw one model available on PSA's website last week - it sold out within 20 minutes.

I highly suggest you join the discord app I posted earlier. It gives you an real time alert when the dagger is in stock. They are now dropping at Radom times through the day. I had to delete the app to keep from picking up another one.

I don't want to support the millennial business model.

A friend of mine is out of work until he's more normal, after getting the covid. He had plenty of time to smash that F5 key repeatedly.

He ended up buying two of those pistols. One black and the other with a grey slide.

I'll probably end up with whichever is not his favorite.

Any range reports? How reliability?
Just picked one up this morning. I’m at three hundred and fifty dollars all in for it. Had to go straight to work so not much I can say yet. Felt more “ergonomic” in the hand. I’ll run some rounds through it soon and you’d be welcome to check it out anytime if you are interested in picking one up.

No problems so far…in about 400+ rounds between the 2 of mine.

One thing I found this weekend with Amend2 mags. Glock and Magpul mags click in loudly and firmly. The Amend2 mags (when empty) click in, but not with the same sound. When loaded, they will click in and I can’t pull them out by hand, but after a shot, the mag falls out of the gun. Even downloaded, they do the same, which tells me they are barely caught on the mag catch and the action of firing is pushing them out of the magwell.

I can’t really see any difference between the 3 catch cuts, so maybe it is the base pads on the Amend2 that are keeping them from going into the magwell as far as the Glock or Magpul. I plan to modify one of the Amend2 base plates to see if that makes a difference and will report back. That’s the only major difference that I see between the 3.

L to R: Amend2, Magpul, Glock

Nailed it. I was offered the grey slide version today.

Reckon I'l pick it up when I get back from camping this weekend.

Book of Armaments; Chapter Glock Verses 17-21

And ye, the maker GLOCK did decree, let him not use aftermarket magazines, for my magazines art cheap and plentiful.
Yet man did not listen to the maker GLOCK, and his mind was clouded by "just as good" and Korean kimchee drum magazines.
And man did experience malfunctions in his Glocks. And wise men did only use Glock-brand Glock magazines.
Yet man, ever in his arrogance did continue to fall prey to frugality, the blessed did continue to stack their homes full of Glock 18 magazines as their cups ranneth over with 9mm.

The interwebz have been won on this day!

I ordered one of the frames without trigger, installed a smooth faced OEM Glock trigger and a spare slide assembly. I hope I like it as is, because I don't think the roll pins they provided for the locking block and trigger housing are coming out again.

I finally got a black one without resorting to retardBook or discord. Take that millennials.

Range report is.... well... it's a combination of an M&P 1.0 and a G19.3 with a cheaper finish. 3 shooters tried it, two of us actually liked the flat trigger better than the standard glock fare. Accuracy from the bench @10 yards was 1.75" vs. 1.25" from a G19.5, and that was with wolf 115gr. Ever so slightly to the right, but not enough to bother moving the sights around, it's officially "good enough", while not "just as gud".

We used G19.5 and G17.4 mags, all OEM glock without any drama. I know the magpuls don't work very long with steel case so I didn't even bother and left that one in the box at home.

It would not chamber reloads with the Acme 122gr TC. Even with the barrel out of the gun they wouldn't drop in. Rounds worked fine in the G19.5 we were testing along side the dagger. Wolf 115gr, Tula 115gr and 147gr blue bullet reloads were fine.

I ran just a few plate racks with it and it was fine. Recoil felt pretty normal, trigger reset was normal, sights were good enough. I would prefer a thinner front blade and blacked out rear, but functionally they're good enough for most things.

Would I rather have it over a regular G19? No, not even at the reduced cost, which honestly isn't that much. Since you kinda have to ship and transfer the dagger its a $350 gun to get it to your LGS. It also only comes with 1 mag, so throw $50 on there to get it even with a new G19.4 and we're at $400+tax. A regular G19.4 with 3 mags is $530, so for $130+tax delta less I would prefer to have the real thing.

We'll know in a few thousand rounds how it holds up.

Have added it into the range rotation and getting more rounds through it. My dad tried it out, and couldn't figure out why the mag wouldn't seat all the way. I had to explain to him how G17 mags fit in the G19 but stick out a bit. His response was "just use the right damn magazine and quit screwing around". Old HK guys, they're like that.

I'll admit that I'm starting to dig it more the more I run it. Damn flat trigger is going to spoil me.

Said I never had much use for one; never said I didn't know how to use it.
That line from Quigley Down Under largely captures my feelings about Glocks. My son is a Glock fanatic, so I have been around Glocks a lot. While I shoot Glocks pretty well, the grips feel wrong in my hand, I am not a big fan of the trigger safety bar in the face of the trigger, and the outline rear sights never appealed to me.

After I bought a PCC that used Glock mags, I was faced with a bit of a quandary. I had an urge to get a companion pistol that used the carbine's mags, but I did not really want a Glock.

PSA's Dagger checked off all of my boxes for a non-Glock Glock: a different grip shape, different sights, and a different trigger while otherwise maintaining a very high degree of Glock parts compatibility, and all at a reasonable price. The large, bright 3-dot sights are my preferred style. The trigger design is not as nice as the Walther P99's, but it is done better than S&W's hinged triggers. But I may sue PSA over the grips; they clearly broke into my house while I was sleeping and took a cast of my hand to design their grips.

And did I mention that the gun shoots like an extension of my hand? The Shield I bought shortly after they came out was the last pistol that I shot nearly as well on its first trip to the range. Ironically, my only complaint about the Dagger involves Glock factory mags. Glock magazine base plates have fairly square back corners which poke the base of my palm; Magpul Pmags have more rounded base plate corners.

Thank you,

He also said they were not making a .40 version.

Saw these pics on ARF…guy said it worked so well he’d probably just dedicate the AA upper to that lower.

That's an expensive way to go about getting a G44.... unless he just bought the lower. Then it's a way to get a G44 knockoff priced like the real thing?

Does the Dagger fit G19 holsters?

It fits some. I have different models by the same holster maker and one fits the other doesn’t. Personally though I feel better with holsters made for the dagger specifically.

I have a Vedder light tuck for a G19. Wondering if it would fit that specifically.

Curious where you all are getting your factory mags from? I’m looking for. Few 17 round and 33 round OEM mags for my AR9. Thanks

Have you tried the ETS mags? Gunmagwarehouse has 31rd and 40rd 9mm mags on sale.
