Found an article that says seven episodes.

  • Wednesday, Dec. 29 — Episode 1.
  • Jan. 5 — Episode 2.
  • Jan. 12 — Episode 3.
  • Jan. 19 — Episode 4.
  • Jan. 26 — Episode 5.
  • Feb. 2 — Episode 6.
  • Feb. 9 — Episode 7.

I guess the next season of Mando premieres after that? I didn’t go look before posting.

I don;t believe they've commited to a season 3 date yet. I think I saw something about "you'll see it sooner than you think." Maybe they're planning a surprise attack or something.
 
Tomorrow is the day.

We’re going to see Spider-Man, and then plan on watching this in the evening. High hopes.

Which means I'm not going to start watching before February 9th.
 
When the shows are 38 minutes long, with no commercials, I can binge the bejeebers out of them.

I'm also weird in that I'm not one who thinks the world has come to an end because of "spoilers" overheard from others. If the movie/show is good, I'll still lose myself in it all the way through.

There are a ton of movies I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years despite having read the books many were based on.

I disagree.
Older shows, yes. They were written with a once a week thinking.
There are all sorts of plot holes and inconsistencies if you watch them all at once. Take 24 for example.
I was doped up with a kidney stone and watched the whole first season in 2 days, I was very disappointed- Jack Bauer is supposed to be this ultimate badass. His family was kidnapped by terrorists 2-3 times in one 24 hour period.
This is bad writing.

Newer shows are designed to be binged.

Looks like this is a moot point if they are back to releasing one a week.

Agreed.

Watch E1 tonight.
Next week was E1 & E2 back-to-back.
The next week E2 & E3, etc, etc.

That way you’re not spending a lot of time, but can refresh your memory each week and get the context of what’s happening.
 
First episode was excellent. Really liked the flashbacks/dreams.

I felt the same way when I saw the scene with him running from the dog. It just didn’t look great. But overall I liked the first episode.

My wife’s first comment was it just might end up being better than Mandalorian.
 
Yeah, she doesn’t like much lately. I asked what movies she likes in last several years and got a “nothing jumps out”. After some thought she said Deadpool the first one, but not the second. And Ford vs Ferrari. She did like the Mandolorian, but the only episode she has re-watched is the final one with skywalker

Back on topic of boba fett she said the fights were poorly choreographed, lots of green screen stuff, some not realistic cgi and only ‘just enough’ extras to fill the scene.

She said will still watch the rest but only because I want to. I am totally "in" so she will have to suck it up and watch, lol.

We liked episode one. It definitely hooked us.
 
Watchable and kept my attention. It will be nice to have something new to watch weekly.
 
I thought Boba fought really badly but that might be part of the story. i kept expecting him to pull some Mandalorian style moves and he... well watch it.

Woke up early just so I could watch it before work, in peace and uninterrupted and I enjoyed it.

In all honesty, I would like to have seen more escape footage from the sarlac. I guess he just burned its mouth and was able to dig 20' through sand?!?! He's a bad ass, but that's a bit of a stretch.

It will be cool to see some overlap of the Mando and/or original Star Wars timelines. Like news of the Death Star 2 being destroyed, etc.

I was hoping as he popped out he’d look up and see taillights. 😂
 
Wife and I liked it. I personally think they did a great job shooting it . He.is my favorite character in Star Wars.
 
E1, too short.
