The excerpt from the article quoted above in post #2322 nails what we all need to understand regarding why what's going on in Ukraine is happening:

"It is a toy for billionaires ripping off western treasuries."


We are there to keep fat-cats from being exposed for the money-laundering and other devious activities that they've been engaged in for years.

Loads are guilty including Bidens, Clintons, even the "hero who's hallowed name shall not be besmirched", Senator John McCain.

This has nothing to do with defending "democracy", and little to do with Putin or Russia.

That Ukraine is (and has long been) one of the world's premier corruption-magnets should also not be news to anyone who's been paying attention.

Worth WWIII ? Apparently to those for whom self-aggrandizement and entitlement has overtaken honor, it is.

They have both been backed into a corner and both are irrational right now. Rational men don't make some of the decisions they have made.

Who bombed this chick to death (when in fact it was supposed to be her daddy)? Don't know. Intra-Russian? If so, why? He and Putin were BFFs. But he was an advisor, and no threat to Putin. So anti-Putin actor? Why? Destabilize Putin's decision-making? We know that a LOT of Russians do not support him, and a lot of those Russians have money and opportunity.

Zellensky/Ukraine actors? Why? Well, they DO have an axe to grind. They have motive. Do they have means and opportunity? Don't know.

CIA? Why? Destabilize Putin's decision-making? Make it look like it's someone else?

There could be other bad guys out there we don't know.

Occam's Razor and all, my bet is on Ukraine, or intra-Russian actor.

From what I have read so far, which could change at any moment, Dugin is a very Nationalist anti-Nazi political philosopher. And the best data right now is that a female member of the Nazi Azov Battalion/Army carried out the murder. That makes perfect sense. There is also speculation that the Azov group couldn’t have pulled this off without help.

Sounds like there is a possibility Azov did this on their own without Zellensky’s approval. He’s a kind of a wimp and those Azov guys are hard core crazed goons. Who knows? Might be one of those things we never get close to the full truth.

I think this is as good an assessment as I've seen, and I don't disagree.

Regarding 'the truth ', I don't know we'll ever get close. The fact that the FSB figured it out so fast though gives me pause as for scapegoat.

Just because Dugin isn't the #1 most influential political philosopher (how do you even quantify that? A poll in People Magazine??) does not mean he and Putin were not tight, or that he did or did not have influence. The media is so contradictory I am not sure anyone can draw a good conclusion. One article "Who is Dugin? Putin ally, Spiritual Guide"; another, "Alexander Dugin was never Putin's Brain."

I don't know about some of this, but when I read about this elsewhere I reached out to folks I know (to be sure, not representative of the entire service, so who knows what's happening in other branches or units). Entire formation consists of volunteers at the Battalion level it seems. Obviously mixed with newly promoted officers to higher echelon. But they will have limited training when they hit the front. Also, Russian Army is pulling even more units from Far East Military District.

The last time the Soviets/Russia pulled troops from the Far East it was to stave off defeat at the hand of a certain Western European country...

Biden planned to improve his standing by being a war-time President. That has not really worked as planned.

Boris Johnson was going to pull his irons out of the fire be being a war-time Prime Minister. His departure is still pending elections to select his replacement.

Poland has always viewed western Ukraine as part of their ethnic country; they will be happy to absorb what's left of Ukraine after Russia takes the Donbass and the entire coastline.
