I hope I never have the chance. If you ever find a full size moccasin and can kill it without much damage, I would Love to have it for a hatband!

I have tin laid out in several places. Also my employer owns a pretty big piece of property on a designated wetland. I have old traffic signs laid around that property as well to attract them.If all snakes were that size I'd never see any regardless the time of year. What are you doing? On your hands and knees with a magnifying glass?
Thursday I saw what I thought was a "tiny" eastern kingsnake, but compared to yours, it might as well have been an anaconda.
I saw my first snake last sunday morning. Had just woken up, groggily stumbled down the hall to the kitchen and saw

Round here it ain't officially spring until I've had to chase a black snake around the house at least once.
I sure prefer doing it after I have had a cup of coffee first tho.

Give up a few eggs, or have rats… I believe I’d give up a few eggs on occasion and just relocate the snake down the road a ways.Me neighbor had to kill a 5' black rat snek last week, on account of it was tryin' to get inside their chicken coop!

Lay them flat, the vegetation under them eventually dies, they’ll get under them on cooler cloudy days for warmth and for shade if the tin is in the shade. The one I pictured above has 3 different kinds of snakes under it. All small like the one pictured with the quarter.Oh? That is a thing eh? Kinda like attracting tree frogs with lots of PVC pipe laying around?
Is it for them to hide under, or sun themselves on top? Just lay it flat and leave them as is or add leaf litter or some other preparation to the metal?
I tol' her I would come get it next time, and rehome it at Trouble Ranch!Give up a few eggs, or have rats… I believe I’d give up a few eggs on occasion and just relocate the snake down the road a ways.
