What are you doing with your outdated compacts?

Nope. you donate plasma. it's illegal to sell it. You may be compensated for your time and trouble, but not your plasma.
I say bad things about your kind... mostly hygiene related
Lol... I should have used the "smartass " font... don't sell guns OR plasma.

Red Cross won't take my blood; (or wouldn't, haven't tried in years) potential exposure to mad cow disease as a bonus to the normal veteran knee and back pain.

Whoops! Nobody told me to stop carrying my shield. Looks like I’m out of spec.

I don’t have the money to chase every new fad and re-learn how to shoot it. My shield is an extension of my hands and arms, and it disappears when I put it on. Why in the crap would I ever get rid of it?!

I still have my outdated compact. One of the “original” compact pistols: the Sig P228. 😜

I could probably collect a decent amount for her but She’s not leaving the stable anytime soon!

I'd like one of those M&P CSX models--about the same size as a Shield. Feels really nice in your hand. But the cost to switch over to what I have in my Shield is impractical. I've got 10+ mags, a few holsters, and 1,000's of rounds through my Shield.

Regarding round count: if the situation is something I can't handle with 17 total (8+1 and another 8), then it's just simply my time. I can't be decked out with 35 lbs of ammo all the time.

The older I get the more I want to dump the stuff I no longer use with few exceptions that may have sentimental value. No point in having stuff collecting dust.

I’ve considered off loading my Springfield xd subcompact when I got my hellcat as I figured I’d never use it again. And I may not. But I doubt I’ll ever get rid of it.

Unless one really needs the cash, selling a reliable pistol is almost never a good idea. While capacity is all the rage, reliability and durability are far more important (just less quantifiable). A PPS or a gen 1 shield are still wonderful guns and not worth dumping for small cash.

Carrying my Taurus 85 and Kimber TLE II PRO regularly. Although when it gets below the 50’s out side I tend to carry my Glock 17.

Absolutely, really boils down to if I want want to wear a belt(1911) or just toss my T85 in my pocket with some speed strips.

Capacity... Great concept... Better concept... Software over Hardware... Learn to make less count for more. If you are planning on your tiny pistol getting you out of an Action Flick situation, you are fooling yourself and/or under gunned anyway...

I'll stick with my single stack for what it's role is, a small gun for the times I can't manage a bigger one.

I get the argument, but when 15-17d compacts conceal just as well as a 7-8rd, it's a legitimate question.

More rounds is better. Always. Especially when it comes in the same size.

Depends on where you're trying to conceal and how. Business clothes are way different than Saturday afternoon clothes.

Weight and balance are big factors. 17-round riding over the top of the belt is a losing battle in dress pants/thinner chinos—even with an exceptional gunbelt.

That weight issue is also pretty serious on ankles and in pockets. More mass means the gun wants to move a lot more throughout the day.

The older guns have become obsolete when compared to the newer high cap guns. I think the biggest issue is for a new gun owner would they buy an older gun with 7 rounds or a newer gun with 15 that are the same size. 95% of people will buy the new guns. What does that mean, the older guns are not worth as much as they used to. Of course, this assumes you will sell it. But i see them as EDC tools. I can afford to buy new guns so the choice is easy for me, but everyone has different needs/means. I agree with what someone posted that for people people 7 rounds will be enough for most scenarios but we can point to lots of videos online where 7 rounds is not enough. More boolits are better than less boolits generally.

I traded my ec9s for the max 9 and only paid 75 bucks for the trade and am happy with the deal but capacity wasnet the main reason it was mostly just to get better sights. dident hurt though. just do whatever ya want man its your stuff.
