Aftermath review. Started cleaning up before we had the epiphany to take another pic.
The sleeper in all of this is the larceny barrel proof. Highly recommended.
Obviously there's some stupid expensive stuff tossed in here.
Blantons straight from the barrel is excellent. Comparing it with "regular" Blantons. The extra proof really makes this one shine and is still just as smooth as the regular.
Blantons black. Meh... would have been better just as a collector's piece. Not worth opening.
Hancock- delicious
Rock hill farms. Better than regular blantons, really tough call when compared to the SFTB as well as the 100th Elmer. We're talking it's like splitting gnats hairs.
Obviously one of the holy grail bottles, pappy 23 is glorious. Definitely a number one in my humble opinion. Now, if you want to get somewhat in the ballpark of this and not break the bank make what's called poor man's pappy with 2 parts Weller 12, and 3 parts antique 107. Give it a couple months to sit and it's probably one of the best you can have.
The double eagle very rare was spectacular, but definitely not worth the price (even at suggested retail) unless you're a collector that has to have it.
By far the best 4 Rose's ever is the small batch limited. Superior to anything else they've put out that we've acquired to date.
E. H. Taylor 4 grain is just another unicorn that if you can get a taste you'll understand why I will find another bottle.
Old pogue is a great pour as well, definitely worth seeking out for under $100.
Stagg jr. Of all these I have had the 132.3 proof is my absolute favorite.
Elijah Craig barrel proof c919 - definitely find one, as this is the best EC I've had to date.
The only rye that I have found that I'll search for on purpose is the 2012 release of lot 40. Yes, its Canadian, but damn impressive.
Only bottle we ddint open or get into was the barrel 15 year, so no report on that till next time.
That's about all I can think of at the moment. May just need another day to recover and recall other details too.
